i think we need that one more prop on the proviso that weyman leaves, thats why someone like Sam Kasiano or Ben Matulino would be perfect to give the pack that well needed intimidation factor.

IF Weyman leaves then yes, we need 1 more prop - if not, I would say a prop rotation of Weyman, Stockwell, Hunt and Merrin is more than adequate to get us through, with a backrow rotation of Creagh (lock), Frizz, Thompson and Harrison/Mateo (if we get him)...there's also a bit of depth there in the form of Mike Cooper (will have to fight for it if he wants to play first grade), de Belin, etc.

We have ticked off a new fullback, a new centre, a new 5/6, a new wide running backrower...now we just need a halfback, then we can get re-signing to make sure we still have some substance in our club.

Mike Cooper got big raps from Tony Smith over in England. If he can be anything like the Burgess' then that would be ideal.

Weyman makes a huge difference to the side. Even When Bennett was around and he was sourounded by quality the team was not quite the same when he did not play. I think from memory they went through a losing streak when he was injured and won a game on his return. He is injury prone but when he is not injured a crucial player indeed.

Props Weyman and Cooper to start and do the heavy lifting. We need a couple of hard-headed props to blast the opposing forwards apart. Then Merrin with his great footwork will march forward and take control. Hunt with his high work rate will help to provide the go forward for our backs to do their job.

Stockwell or De Belin; it’s very hard to leave one out. Whoever is in form will get selected.

If Kyle is not ready and we don't sign Chase or a first grade halfback, Mateo could fill the bill at 6 or 7 short term. We currently have a surplus of back-row forwards. IMO, fielding a big solid 6 or 7 will draw the opposing forwards and create space for the likes of Widdop, Dugan and our outside backs.

There has been a lot of chat on here relating to Mateo's potential signing and if he is signed, who in the back-row is going to make way for him?

No props on the bench?

I'd much prefer Weyman (God I hope we keep him, no offense to Prior but I would gladly give him up if it meant keeping Horse) and Stockwell OR Merrin as starting props, Creagh as lock, Thompson starting second row.

8. Merrin
9. Rein
10. Weyman
11. Frizzel
12. Thompson
13. Creagh

14. Stockwell
15. Hunt
16. Mateo
17. King

That is a sexy pack right there, with great depth.
To have 1 "X factor" in the run on (duges) and two "X factors" on the bench (Mateo,King) would be stupidly exciting!
