I have spoken to Dubopov, and it appears that I am a new recruit for the Dragons, at least for this upcoming round, and perhaps on an ongoing basis.

Do I have to do anything by way of registration or some such??

Quick question --- I basically plan to submit articles in a short novel format, with each article representing a chapter in the story. It appears that articles have to be based around rugby league, but if possible I'd like to engage in character development in the first chapter, which would mean that there would effectively be no rugby league-related discourse in the first article.

Is this OK, or does it not pass muster?

Could be treading dangerous territory with the first chapter... although probably best to get an opinion from someone in the refereeing ranks.

I've seen articles deemed to have no rugby league content given marks ranging from 0 to 50 out of 100... so it's probably best to work rugby league into the first 750 words somehow if you can? Subtlety is usually OK as well.

Nice idea about the novella approach though!

The rules are clear that each article must be league-related and the ref's will make their call using that criteria for sure. I would suggest that if you go down that track then you need to provide solid links to emphasise where it's all going.
