Just think folks. All of these 'Origin Hack hyped as Hero' types like Gallen and Pearce when they retire, due to their extensive Origin experience, will take their place among those who coach or officially assist in the NSW Blues Origin camps.

Expect to see their gleeful faces around Origin time, for decades to come.

this is true, flip the coin and the future maroons camp will have retired blokes with 5 or more series wins under the belts.

5 and more. In most cases consecutive series victories. By every measure the best pool of victorious experience and achievement motivators Origin up and comers will ever see. That's a culture of knowing how to do it, going forward.

As for the Blues. They have a decade of pissing into the wind. Blind leading the blind management. Poor selection. Ineffective coaching. Talentless hack players. The result of all that: 52-6.

Then the talentless hack decade recycle and become the motivators for the next generations of Origin players. Their credo?

"We couldn't motivate ourselves. Now we know the answer! If the Blues lose, we duck the consequences"

That's NSW's current motto isn't it?

It's all well and good for us to be picking teams we want, however I'll be pretty shocked if the team named differs much from this:

1. Dugan
2. Ferguson
3. Jennings
4. Morris
5. Mansour/Hopoate
6. Maloney
7. Hodkinson
8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Tamou
11. Bird
12. Scott
13. Gallen

14. Fifita/Merrin
15. Cordner
16. Klemmer
17. Jackson

Pearce will be there. There was a stage in the Roosters/Knights game on the weekend where Laurie Failey stated 'and that's why he's the NSW halfback'. The sooner we all accept it, the less painful it will be when it happens.

I also can't see Mansour being picked. Failey has a big hard-on for Hoppa.

I'm not saying he didn't say that about Pearce, as I didn't have the sound on watching the game, but when did he say this? I didn't think he was commentating fox anymore?

I reckon Lozza can fit Birdy into the halves and Jackson into the backrow..

Fully endorse this team. The 'esteemed' leadership will definitely be there, so the best thing to do is to select players who have already been poisoned by the culture. The only debutants there would e mansour and ferguson (has the latter played origin?)

Save any potentially important players of the future for when the quartet are gone. Look on the bright side....it'll probably be the last series for all of Gallen, Farah, Bird and Scott. Most definitely if they lose.

As long as those two areant there I wouldn't be too disappointed.

I suspect you are pretty much on the money. f**k knows how the selectors and Daley conclude that plodders like Cordner and Jackson are better than the likes of Wade Graham and Tyson Frizell. Scott and arguably also Bird need to be put out to pasture. But they won't be. And as much as I've bagged him in the past, Michael Ennis is clearly the best hooker in NSW right now. Farah has gone to shit, while Ennis is in the form of his life.
