Moylan is a good player and deserves recognition but whatever skills and value he has, surely Coote has those exact attributes but moreso. Plus a premiership and long experience playing with the world's best player? It doesn't make sense he's not even mentioned.

Also, Walker

Cootes been mentioned plenty however they realistically could have only gone with one or the other and they chose Moylan. There wouldnt have been much between them in the end

With that squad

1. Dugan
2. Ferguson
3. Jennings
4. Morris
5. Mansour
6. Maloney
7. Reynolds
8. Woods
9. Farah
10 Gallen (c)
11. Cordner
12. Frizell - will probs be Jackson
13. Bird

14. Moylan
15. Fifta
16. Klemmer
17. Tamou

18. Jackson
19. Walker

20. Cartwright

I do think you'll find Moylan is the 1 and Morris is the cover for Dugan. What would be the point of bringing Moylan off the bench?

On Moylan and Coote, I think Moylan has better ball playing skills than Coote.

Other than that, Coote is just as good as Moylan.

I'm perplexed by the Walker call up. A bit concerned Beau Scott was left out, particularly given the NSW halves aren't exactly known for their defence.

Jackson I also don't see the hype about. Hope he proves me wrong.

I'm pretty happy with the side, there are a few obvious shockers but overall it a side that can create opportunities and score points.

The halves have a very strong kicking game and are both very good goal kickers.
Moylan is a classy FB or could do the job as a utility.

In defence of Jackson, he as currently in career best form IMO. I still don't think he warrants SOO selection but at least he is in better form than last year.

Wow can't believe Beau Scott was left out for duds like Cordner and Jackson!

In glad Josh Morris was picked and not thrown to the scrap heap, he's served NSW well over the years.

And yeah the Walker selection is a major wtf... So many better players out there...

Moylans vision and ball playing is much better than Cootes.

Jackson was thrown into the middle forward role when he has hardly played much of it for Canterbury. Eastwood plays that position at Bulldogs. So Jackson was always pushing a wheelbarrow of shit up a steep hill starting an origin series in the middle against Scott, Myles, Parker and Smith.

I'm assuming he'll be on the right edge for this series where he plays most of his football with Canterbury. Now it's about how he can combine with AReynolds and probably Dugan and Fergo outside him. He & AR will have a bit to think about too dealing with QLD's left side - Thurston, Guerra & Inglis.

Agreed. He was out of position last year, I can only assume that he will start and be in his favored position. If he is out of position or comes from the bench then he will have another dud year. I'm hopeful (and biased) that he will have a decent series.

I am not sure what to make of three props on the bench.
Maybe one will drop off and Frizzell will come in.

Sort of surprised by Farrah being there given where the Tigers are and how well Ennis is playing for the Sharks at the top of the table. Leaving Pearce out makes sense but was somewhat surprising given Laurie's comments in the past and increasingly bizarre selection of him but I guess his indiscretions at the start of the year have helped the cause there.

Looks a better team overall than several in the past, any way.

Terrible team selected by the same two plonker who have given us a decade of prosperity.

It's a boring one dimensional side which will struggle for points.

Boyd Plodner and Josh Plodson can someone tell me why these two plodders are constantly picked???

Made to look much better in club football in strong packs, absolutely offer SFA in the origin arena.
