If something doesn't make sense it's most likely bullshi..The world's biggest sporting league is the NFL but they don't even have a development league. The NBA has the g league with teams located in small arenas & run on oily rag. According to you competition which once spanned Africa, Americas, Oceania & Asia was development comp. Good way to burn money - that's why its bs

Simple minds like yours just don't seem to grasp it. The NFL DOES have a development comp, it has lots of them, the collage system being the most profitable. Development leagues don't have to be run or controlled by the main body. Super Rugby in NZ is. That you are ignoring the simple fact that the All Blacks brand supplies over 90% on the income to NZR is why your "argument" is what is "bullshit" here. Super rugby provided, and provides content, but the simple fact is Internationals are where the money is made. Super Rugby just develops players for it.

I think what makes International Union so successful is that Union is equally lame everywhere and thus competitive.
For instance if Union was as popular as League in Australia, Australia would dominate and Internationals wouldn’t have as much interest.
The success of the All blacks from such a small country show is testament to that.

Australia has 5 Super Rugby clubs that have less support than the Newtown Jets and they're competitive internationally.

Union has a " big event " impact internationally. The same way " walking " gets an audience at the Olympics.
You do make me chuckle in a my Dad is stronger than your Dad kind of way.

As someone who enjoys both sports I really don't understand people like you, on either side, who get so butt hurt by another sport that you'll spew out utter garbage because you're not mature enough to allow that other people might enjoy something you don't.

It's simple really. Insecurity.

Great, but it's dying on it's ass in Australia. Kiwi's not looking good either
And if you truly believe that to be the case you'd be worrying, with us NZers, about the fact that league is essentially flat ling in the country .

I appreciate lots of sports.
Rugby league is like a perfectly cooked steak.
Rugby Union is like someone put pineapple on my steak.
It just sucks dude.

Boy, you're an angry person. Anyway, NFL doesn't own the college system. That information may not have reached the tiny shaky isles. The NFL did run euro NFL as a development, but shut that down due to costs. I'm sure a trans Tasman comp covering an even more sprawling distance (that's not even including south Africa) is more feasible. Whole development could be run out of Auckland, but organizations like spending money. Any other fairytales you got?!

I'm not angry at all, but I find stupidity funny, much like these... " Anyway, NFL doesn't own the college system. That information may not have reached the tiny shaky isles"... in response to a post where I clearly stated "Development leagues don't have to be run or controlled by the main body"... sheesh... *facepalm*

You did know that in Super Rugby, each country looks after its own costs... so development isn't that expensive. Oh and NZ Rugby is run out of Wellington, But you don't really know anything about this country so that's hardly surprising.

You keep saying that, but everybody else saying you come off as angry. Guess everybody else is wrong..

Of course they are, like you, they appear to be stupid. Nobody can tell what someone is feeling through a screen, they can only guess, and they, like you guess wrong.

I don't know what is going with your posting here with odd quotes that don't relate to your text, but I posted that again in quotation marks to show you that I didn't claim there was a bigger competition than the NRL but that rugby was bigger than league worldwide in response to this post from you:

Which domestic rugby competition anywhere in the world makes more money than NRL?!

You criticized other poster for doing exact thing u did just earlier

I guess you got removed from being moderator for being too happy as opposed as too angry?!

There you go, making incorrect guesses again. I haven't been a moderator in about 4 years, however the title got a lot of people in this thread upset, so its gone... but keep guessing away, I'm sure one day you will get one right.

Lol, yeah nothing like "my dad is bigger". But so you know, on side note, rugby is bigger..
Just proves my point about it being a big event scenario. Take away the big event status and there's nothing there. No tribal rivalry, no action, just a whole bunch of penalties 🙄
I know, let's boot the ball out and stand around..🙄
Rubbish.
