That's right Rugby league has pick the best pacific island talent.
Fiji, Samoa, Tonga have all fallen off the international Union map, Australia is and on this trajectory if the NRL plays their cards right so will NZ.

Union are about to loose the entire pacific.
Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga haven't fallen off, they were just incapable of keeping up with the growth in other nations because they're tiny, impoverished, third world countries whom can't compete with size and resources of some of the other nations. In other words they're not getting worse, Japan, Argentina, the home nations, Gorgia, Italy, etc, are getting better.

The only thing you could actively do to make them more competitive would be to further bastardise the eligibility rules to them even more like RL's, but that would directly impact the Wallabies and All Blacks, they're both more valuable to WR than the PI's.
And despite your ignorance, RU is in massive trouble in England! 2 of their oldest proudest clubs just went bankrupt and there's 2 more close!
An equivalent would be Souths and Parramatta just folded and the Raiders and Newcastle are on the brink. That's where Union is domestically atm
RU's current struggles in England are irrelevant from the point at hand, they're also largely a result of bad private equity deals. Will English RU take a hit for the foreseeable future; sure. Will they need to restructure to make sure they don't make the same mistakes again; definitely. Will it kill or cripple them anymore than they already are over the long term; no, it won't even drop them to RL's level in England.

I wasn't ignorant of them either, I addressed them in the post you were too lazy to read...
All these comps in Union can fail and the international scene will still be fine because they're all equally shit.
League One, Top 14, the URC, etc, aren't going to fail anytime soon...

How has this thread descended from a discussion on nz2 as next expansion club to a typical sht fight club thread about rl v another sport? Take it to fight club if you want to heap shit on other sports. Well done to gobsmacked though, created a troll thread and surprise surprise ended up full of trolls.

You write too much rubbish.
rugby league is off to a cracking start in England
Meanwhile in Union clubs are folding and begging for cash.

But sure , rattle off a bunch of countries that are now competitive because the top has fallen so far..

All he's done is dumped a bunch of red herrings to try and distract from the actual argument.

Everything he's linked is irrelevant to RU's standings in the PI's, and what impact losing them would have on RU as a whole.
You outed yourself as another dumb Union tragic.
This thread has been great for exposing Union losers looking for a chink in the armour. Sadly it just exposes time and time again the fragility of Union.

No, there aren't any Welsh teams in the French national RU competition... They're in the URC.

Welsh Rugby isn't struggling anywhere near as badly as he's making out. The pandemic hit them particularly hard because the Welsh government were particularly tough during the pandemic (they went crazy authoritarian frankly, to the point that Westminster should be deeply concerned), but they're out the other side now.

You mean how RL clubs were begging for cash until they got IMG onboard. . . Let's see how long that last before they balls it up like they did the News money...

You've got a terrible case of the Dunning-Kruger effect when it comes to Union, and that's been demonstrated multiple times throughout this discussion.

You know, being informed and honest about other sports doesn't necessarily make you a fan of their's anymore than reading Das Kapital or Mein Kampf makes you a communist or a Nazi.
