Actually I've come to learn cricket is a pretty niche sport in England, it is nothing like the popularity it had here, in NZ and on the subcontinent.

Most pommies I have met on my travels are of course soccer fans but most are union fans, at keast if the national team. Most don't like cricket and I haven't met any that like league.

Anyways, this thread is either expert trolling or pure delusion. The notion that league is more popular than union in any countries that take it seriously other than Australia and PNG or that it ever likely will be is deluded.
