So my take so far is that domestic rugby union in New Zealand(super rugby) is on a downward trajectory attendance wise while the sole professional RL club in New Zealand(warriors) are up leaving me to conclude that there’s never been a better time for league and the NRL to be precise to strike while the iron is hot and take full advantage of this by introducing NZ2 as the 18th team but alas all talk of this seems to have all but dried up and as of yet I’m still to see any specific and concrete plans from any potential bid teams on the ground in New Zealand for said NZ2 franchise unfortunately.
