The bye really does suck. Especially when the Dolphins are also having the bye the same week as the Warriors.

It's strange that these articles pop up on my feed from former All blacks and coaches with their concerns about union at such a clip but you're holding the line. Good for you.
Yet you can't turn away from commenting about it on a thread. You know what I don't like? AFL. I think it's a silly game. Same with soccer. You know what I don't do, spend my time trolling about it them on sports forums. Seriously, what's your end game here? You don't like rugby, good for you.No mate, I turn away from looking at car crashes just like I turn away from watching stupor rugby.
I don't like those either but this is not a fair comparison. They are 2 different forms of Rugby..Yet you can't turn away from commenting about it on a thread. You know what I don't like? AFL. They're two completely different sports to me. I find it odd that leaguies-only want to keep associating them with each other. American Football had the same genesis too yet we wouldn't include them in these debates.I don't like those either but this is not a fair comparison. They are 2 different forms of Rugby..
Why not tell your mate Te kah the same thing?
"If we’re being bone dead honest with ourselves it is at the moment. It [NRL] is a better game to watch on TV than rugby is" - former All blacks coach.Of course they are concerned... They want to make it better... Doesn't mean its anywhere near "dying"

I was working with a kiwi today from Christchurch and he said league is big there and he thinks NZ should get a second team.
He said there's a local comp of 10 teams that play each other twice but lack any decent stadium in their comp.Sure he did... and I bet your "trip" to Wellington next week will give you all new anecdotes.
And what club did your "workmate" play for? And how much does he know about the domestic scene?
He said there's a local comp of 10 teams that play each other twice but lack any decent stadium in their comp.
Yeah, I'm making it up hey lol
He also said whenever the Warriors have played a regular season game there it sells out every time.
Yeah I do, with impeccable timing..sounds like your "workmate' "knows" his stuff....

And yet you think that can support an NRL team.
That's what he said, and?No comment on your "workmates" "He also said whenever the Warriors have played a regular season game there it sells out every time."??
That's what he said, and?
Care factor ?It was wrong... odd that someone from Christchurch would get that wrong. Not a very reliable "workmate"
I don't think that's really true - Chch is only bigger if you exclude the areas outside of Wellington city itself (the Hutts etc).Christchurch would be a great spot for nz2 north/South Island derby and bigger population than Wellington. A decent stadium atm with one coming in the next few years.
Ideally there would be a team in each but at the moment a new stadium is a massive bonus and Wellington's isn't great. I'd like to see a new team holding games in both those cities. If they are based in Christchurch then a couple in Wellington and vis versaI don't think that's really true - Chch is only bigger if you exclude the areas outside of Wellington city itself (the Hutts etc).
I think I could just about bring myself to support a Wellington team, but no way am I supporting a Cantab team.
