AFLS lowest grant recipients 2022

West Coast -profit
Richmond - profit
Hawthorn - profit
Adelaide - profit
Essendon -profit

so looks like your theory is wrong for their clubs receiving least grants!
For the afl to fund clubs at 150 percent of the cap like nrl they would have to run an annual loss of over 100 million pa

or they'd do what the NRl has had to do. As it happens they dont have to. Not all their clubs need the hand outs.

Why would you advocate funding clubs already making a healthy profit more money at the expense of building the games assets and funding grassroots and expansion more? Makes no sense.

Last year AFL gave its clubs $337mill, NRL less than $220mill.
The avg afl club payout was $18.7 mill, the cap $13.5mill
I dont understand what you are arguing here? lol

yeh because NRl has diverted money away from other areas to prop them up. They bloody well should be able to pay the bills after seeing their grant go up nearly 50% in a few years!
Keep shifting the goal posts

afl ranks last in juniors in western Sydney

maybe the nrl is just smarter with how it spends its money

but I’m sure nrl clubs are happy to receive such generous funding

if the storm are making say 3 million pa profits they could put all that money into funding juniors in Victoria sustainably
What an arse about way to do it.

Shouldn't the ARLC just spend that money on grassroots directly, rather then give it to the Storm and then have them distribute it?

Id suggest, and this is pure speculation, it was due to not generating much revenue. Their ground was a shthole and they were trying to get established in a city that is AFL tragic. Crowds were small in early years and corporates would have been ltd. Paying two salaries for each player isnt cheap either lol

PRS ain't much better than Olympic Park.

Perth is a parochial fumbleball city.

You know all the debts they incurred and haven’t paid back yet

just look at their liabilities

and many afl clubs also owe money to the afl which probably isn’t being paid back soon
Im sure they are, who doesnt like a freebie, especially of you're not great at running your business lol
vlanyds knows how to run his business better than anyone else that’s my point

every tv deal the clubs will get an even bigger share so one day the gap will be ten million over the cap

every nrl clubs value will skyrocket
