Well Auckland city *alone* has 1.4 million.

Given that, some kind of outreach to the Welington population (Wellington region is over 500k people) sounds like a pretty good idea, doesn't it?

Once chch are in and doing ok the need for a team in Wellington will be apparent since neither club can service it really

but the nrl teams should be taking home games to the districts around them eg chch to Dunedin and is there anyone else on the South Island that has a decent ground

Nz clubs should do it so they aren’t just representing Auckland chch or Wellington if they get in
