lol the clubs will never back the boomers in the state boards. Like I said, they have always been about feeding old boys. It's a hangover from Union days.
They did when they sacked John grant

They could do it to pvl too if he doesn’t keep throwing money at the clubs and state bodies

The arlc isn’t truly independent

Can you clue me into what say the NSWRL and QLR have in the game today?

Edit: That legal case has nothing to do with the run of the game nationally either lol. Why are you so dishonest?
They both have seats on the ARLC. You know the body responsible for setting strategic priorities for the game and signing off on budget allocations lol

Did you just miss the news where they got a massive grant rise?

The court case was in relation to the comments on NZRL interfering in ARL business. Just like the ARLC tried to do, and failed spectacularly not once but twice, in NSWRL business.

I think he has that figured out because the clubs are getting more money than ever. The state bodies can't provide anything real to the clubs. Tbh they are archaic systems infected with nepotism and favoritism. With the money coming in now, the ARLC should just come over the top and take junior development off them.

How effective are their votes without club support?

They were supposed to kill off both the nswrl and qrl when the arlc was formed

So much wasted money and nepotism from them holding the game back

Hartcher as qrl boss was against the dolphins in the nrl as it weakens qrl comp

They should but then again it would be a monumental task to keep it humming after it’s been run a certain way by certain people for a long time. They would need to create a subsidiary to run it for them and majority of the best candidates would come from NSWRL and QRL Anyways. So they’d be breaking something down only to build something similar back up.

Seems like a waste of time and money. I don’t think the ARLC have the energy for such a challenge tbh. Easier to give more cash to what’s there now.

NZ2 needs to happen asap ! The amount of talent in NZ is staggering! With all the players out through injuries, they name a quality side with 6 debutantes! All quality!

lol, yeh that much depth they've called up a reserve grader and a player from SL for first time in 7 years!
If NRL is putting same criteria on NZ2 as allegedly perth to find $60mill I think we can bury any hope of them getting a club.

It's a squad mate and Stacey is being thorough and non discriminatory in his search for in form players and future starts. So yes there's a young prospect he wanted in the squad and rewarding Peter's form .
Imagine an area so rich in talent that 6 players in 1 year are international standards.
Where WA has none...
You have absolutely zero idea what the NZ bid- s ! Are offering.

Lmao judging from your meltdown on the bears thread your bid is struggling big time

If the bears can’t get ready in time who knows maybe nz2 get pushed forward with the stadium finished in 2028

you think, from all weve heard, that Nz2 can raise $60mill?

Why not

Remember when you said the arlc wouldn’t be charging license fees at all ?

180 million in lincense fees paid would be a huge win for the game

Over 10 million each for the existing 17 clubs

Because two of the known bids had very sketchy funding models.

Yes I continue to underestimate how badly run they are, to change a tender requirement this significantly post submission is farcical.

Its actually a poor outcome for the new clubs, its taking significant resources away from a new clubs that could have been used to strengthen their start up and build better pathways.
Smacks of the BS travel imposition that caused the last expansion disaster.
