This guy is very good.
Nephew. Is he related to Tony Tuimavave? .
I think he will be.(assuming Simmo's still with us next year) .
So let me get this right. We sign Timmy as a 17/18 year old, put years and years into slowly cooking him into a first grade footballer, and then sell him off and sign a 25 year old who's never done anything of note for the Warriors.
That will do me.
Timmy will never be a great 1st grade prop in this day and age, he simply doesn't have the physical attributes no matter how tough he may be.So let me get this right. The fact of the matter is, this signing was meant to be Leeson Ah Mau - who is 20.
Ah Mau decided to go to the Cowboys.
So we are stuck with an older alternative with nowhere near as much potential long term.
Its like we've won the consolation prize.
a 25 yr old prop isnt old
Didn't say he was old. But I recognise he won't have anywhere near the upside of a 20 year equivalent either.
This signing was practically a fall back option after Ah Mau decided he didn't want to come to Newcastle.
Ah Mau wants to go to the cowboys and win a wooden spoon good on him, atleast he can win a spoon with his brother now, whilst Tuimavave will be playing for the kiwis next year and playing finals footyThe fact of the matter is, this signing was meant to be Leeson Ah Mau - who is 20.
