gids will be turning 33 in 2010. if he came to play for cheap a la mad dog i don't see why he wouldn't be worth a shot for a season or 2.

Apparently he goes solid.

Although if Ling is still off contract I would have preferred to keep him than get this dude.

I'm quite happy with that, he had an outstanding year, and once again it's a fast little hooker.

De Gois will be #1 hooker, Ndaira will be either number #2 or bench hooker when De Gois or Hilder is out.

Smith seems to like Hilder as a specialist benchie that will mainly cover the backrow but hooker and halves if needed.

Now I hope this means there is nothing left for Simmons

I'm pretty sure I read the sole purpose of Ndaira is to avoid the situation of playing Gidley at Hooker.

And to keep Hilder as a benchie who will play in the backrow.
