Round 5 is underway. Deadline Wednesday 2 July 9pm.

Moffo, Hass, Roopy, Goz, Bomber, Bender, and everybody... the new round is underway and our competitors, the Roosters have named a super strong team to try and knock us over.

I don't need to remind you all that we're undefeated in 2003 and that includes trials and past defunct competitions.

Remember the team motto: Its not how you play the game that counts... its all about winning...

Moffo, are you up for skipper or do you want to nominate someone else? Its up to you mate.
We have to get a strong team onto the paddock and we'll need 110% this week.

Don't try and play Gus Gould tricks with us, BP. We all know you've packed two prop forwards into the second row for this one... it's a killer pack and I expect it to be our toughest game ever.

Well, the Gould tactics seem like a winning formula so who am I to screw with it. The only prop in our team currently thinks he's a winger. The quality in the second row is suspect but I hear the fullback floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee.

The only blood to be spilt will be in the boardroom. Hope the ref's been in training and the video ref knows the rules. Expect a slow start from Easts with a rush for the try line in the dying hours of the game.

I think it'll be a good test for us rookies on the team.

We're currently in the middle of a storm here on the GC - its a phenomenon known as a 'weather bomb'. But it'll be nothing compared to the bomb that Easts are about to experience.

I thought I'd do a George Gregan and leave training on the eve of our big clash. Hopefully we'll have more success than the Wallabies did against England however!

My life has been very busy of late, so I haven't been checking on the sevens developments.
Thanks for keeping me in mind when i haven't been around guys.
I put in a post, not the best ever, but not the worst ever either.

Well the results have come in for our clash with Easts and lo and behold it was a draw!

44.9 a piece.

I think we might need the team posted earlier than that. I'm sure Moffo won't mind you posting a team Hass as captain.

I sent out Private Messages to everybody regarding our upcoming clash with the Dragons. At the risk of repeating myself, here is what I said...

To all Bluebags,

The Forum 7's is still going and the Bluebags are playing the Dragons this week with the deadline coming up at 9 pm on Wednesday (that's State of Origin night).

I've posted a team of five in the game thread, however it is only there for the sake of having a team named.

The provisional side is Hass, Roopy, Willow, Legend & Gorilla. However if anybody wants to nut out a post this week just let us know in the Newtown forum and we'll make the necessary changes.

To those of you who are in the named side, let me know (either in the Newtown forum or by Private Message) if you are unavailable this week.

Anyway, I know everyone's busy, but if you've got the time put a little bit into the Newtown cause... and come on the mighty 'Bags!
