That’s impossible when comparing the NRL to the AFL due to the existence of the Warriors & soon PNG.

If you wanted to compared apples to apples you would have to break down the figures to per club to see the true value.

There are no subs in either club for Australian clubs.

The $30m Sky pays is for the Warriors add that to the Fox payment and there is the figure

He’s dug a hole for himself and now can’t find a way out

He previously said himself the nrl would get 500 million

They will but not all from Australian TV companies.

Not really sure what this gotta moment is you think but my posting have been the same.

Warriors are good for Fox to have. Like the other overseas cricket test series they have but like NZ v the Poms.

They benefit from the content not the extra subs that come from NZ. As such their value to Fox is much much lower than say the Broncs.

PNG will be the same

500 million is hardly a disaster is it ?

And what’s two extra games a week worth ?

Two new exclusive time slots

$$$$

And nz2 v png will still get decent ratings in Australia if the teams are decent

Sure nz2 has less value to Aussie tv than Brisbane 3

But they have some value and they also have a lot of value for nz

No need for the insulting nature of your reply, champ.

I was the one making the point, therefore it’s not possible for me to miss my own point.

Well your point makes no sense.

The NRL statement from the rights clearly states Sky NZ as a rights holder.

So therefore the $400m is inclusive of that

$500m includes NZ and PNG money though.

Again depends what the timeslot is and what they put in it. PNG would be mainly day home games because of the standard of lighting

NZ2 like the Warriors would be a Sat arvo team. Not the best time slot.

Lines 2 & 3 of this reply clearly show you don’t understand my point, let alone know told it makes sense or not.

Your point as always is to be dick to the posters on here who are AFL fans.

The Title of the thread is next TV Deal not next Australian TV deal only

I also was unaware that you wre

My opinion that fans of that silly game they play in Melbourne shouldn’t have League Unlimited accounts is in no way related to my very simple point above that you’re struggling to understand.

Seeming you brought it up though and not me. The fact that fans of that silly game they play in Melbourne fans have accounts on a Rugby League forum is a dick move towards Rugby League fans.

You get what you sow, as they say. I don’t expect you to understand this point either.

But don’t worry, I’m also a dick to my Melbourne based colleagues who support that sport when sport comes up in conversation. They were shocked when they travelled up to NSW for a Christmas party that no one from NSW or the travelling QLD colleagues had any clue about their silly game and the whole sport conversations centred around Rugby League.

Talking about how good the nrl tv deal will be sure exposes them

There’s literally no reason why a rugby league fan would get upset over the nrl tv deal beating the afl
