The irony of a potato saying if PVL had any brains .Any chance of YouTube bidding for the rights and putting it on their subscription service?
If you have a smart TV or a smart phone then you have access to YouTube. Having the NRL on YouTube Premium for about $15 a month would be a great way to grow the game.
If V'landys has any brains he'll get on the phone with execitives from Google to have YouTube as a serious contender for the next round of broadcast rights.
I note in today's Roosters/Warriors game they had a 20min "drinks break" (pseudo quarter time).
And Fox didn't go to an ad break.
So I'm not convinced it's a big deal in terms of more TV money
Gil’s gal!Hah you gonk. You do realise “licensing” includes betting revenue, merch sales and digital revenue as well as media deal don’t you?
sigh
Well digital revenue is called AFL media which is actually on the line ie Media and AFL media ie (digital media) As well the media is 'licensed' to broadcast and this would be also included Revenue media...AFLHah you gonk. Don`t know a lot about the geography of Victoria but I get a strong feeling the NRL see Geelong as a potential site for an NRL team one day. Same way I think fumbleball are eyeing North Queensland.Current 17 teams plus...
18 Perth
19 NZ 2
20 Brisbane 3
21 Adelaide
22-24: choose from Central Coast, NZ 3, Perth 2 (late game most weekends), Melbourne 2 (huge city), 6th Queensland team (where ever population growth points to)....
haha just admit you didn’t know licensing included areas not included in the afl line. Nothing to be ashamed of.W

Did I not say Mr Red would Bla Bla bla
So you say the NRL got $84 million revenue 2019 (for one year) for Betting. Your Dreaming as well as all your figures just pluck out of the sky.In 2019, before figures got hidden the equivalent licensing line included
$84mill betting
$24mill digital
$12mill merch sales
(P145) https://www.nrl.com/siteassets/about/annual-reports/nrl_annualreport_2019.pdf
assuming those revenue areas are same (you’d hope they’ve grown) that means “licensing“ of $409mill is made up of
around $289 mill cash tv and radio media
$120mill wagering, merch and digital areas
I’m not saying it, the nrl financial report is!So you say the NRL got $84 million revenue 2019 (for one year) for Betting. Your Dreaming as well as all your figures just pluck out of the sky.
So where would not the AFl licensing of betting go , ( and thier into betting too) why not with the licence for the media companies pay to show the game.
$84 million would be a fortune why are worrying Tv deals when we make $84 million annually, just show me the $84 million betting amount......annually $84 mill, your jokingI’m not saying it, the nrl financial report is!
figure are direct from the annual Report
merch licensing and merch sales is not media nor is wagering. they will be sitting under the $350mill commercial operations in their report
sponsorship and wagering, my bad! Probably around $40- 50mill wagering alone (reported as $40mill in 2021 SMH article)$84 million would be a fortune why are worrying Tv deals when we make $84 million annually, just show me the $84 million betting amount......annually $84 mill, your joking
Bla Bla Bla- Not so, deals were reworked OR didn't you know... Something about Covid 19 if I am not mistaken. So with the extra from Fox we beat the AFL.sponsorship and wagering, my bad! Probably only around $40- 50mill wagering alone (reported as $40mill in 2021 SMH article)
NRL considering plan to cash in on legalised sports gambling in the US
The NRL believes it will soon be able to derive tens of millions of dollars in revenue from the explosion of legalised sports wagering in the United States.www.smh.com.au
so reworking my numbers based on that
nrl $357mill media plus $24.5mill contra
v
afl $409mill media plus $16mill contra
considering deals where originally announced as $385mill nrl v $416mill afl (plus $10mill radio) that is within expectations for both codes.
Haha keep on believing mate, keep on believing.Bla Bla
Bla Bla Bla- Not so, deals were reworked OR didn't you know... Something about Covid 19 if I am not mistaken. So with the extra from Fox we beat the AFL.
But you said $84 ,million on betting alone, OR cant you read what YOU wrote...Haha keep on believing mate, keep on believing.
You just go ahead and ignore that $50mill of wagering and merch sitting in our licensing line, pretend it’s not real, you win.
