I just showed where the bar is.

Here's how you came up with your 'bar'. You looked at the total figures the AFL got and ignored all of the nuance. It must have taken you seconds to come up with it, I'm sure your brain struggled with all that in-depth analysis.

I notice you failed to mention the value of origin , Nines or the fact that the NRL is the biggest TV sport in the country in your defence of the AFL deal being justifiably worth more?

I've been saying for months (hell even years) that the AFL should get more because they have more teams and the games go for an hour longer. The codes are about even in terms of support. You just choose to pretend otherwise because it doesn't suit your agenda. As much as I want a team in Perth, the fact that it pisses you off so much brings a lot of joy to people

I've said all along wait until you see all the details before you get on your high horse for f**k's sake.

I disagree mate..

The International money is primarily NZ...

They pay about $20 Mil a year currently...

UK pays about as much as we pay over here for Super League... SFA...

Virtually everything I've read has had the NZ rights &'international rights seperate.

Makes no sense there would be a reduction.

Current NZ rights are worth $100m

Why would the UK with no team pay as much as NZ to show NRL games in a bad time slot for them?

PNG has no money...

Who is left?

From all reports, the deal sounds terrible. 6pm is terrible to me and I can't see how any dollar amount justifies it. It's going to effectively block out Alot of fans from seeing the match. That should never be allowed for a sport. Participation and attendance should be the priority of the games.

But in saying that, nothing has been announced yet. I look back at the last TV deal when it was announced. No one knew the dollar amount or Thursday night footy or the first and last rights being dropped.

No one knows anything until it's announced by the commission. Let's just wait.

now now we will have none of that negative talk on here thank you. It is going to be wonderful and deliver everything we had hoped. or at least that's what we are waiting to hear apparently and the media has just made everything up so far with no basis of truth in any of it.

You're the one setting bench marks and comparisons. I won't jump to conclusions and hate on the commission without knowing the facts.
