I’m not fussed. They could be a better team this week and we could beat them in September when it matters. Let them get their hopes up.

Not going to win the competition if we lose Frizell for the season.
I agree with all you say and hope we do beat them in Sept, but becuase of our recent form if we lose this we will drop back to 4th and the media negativity and supporters confidence will drop back another few cogs again. Pressure will mount again.

It’s just external noise for the team itself. Pressure comes from within.

We were never going to make the 8 according the negativity. Preliminary finals would be a good result for us this year. Sharks, Roosters, Storm and Souths all have more experience in recent times.

Yeh and I thought we would be between 7-10th myself but since we are up there being in the Top 2 all year and have a taste of it again and how our season has gone to date and looking at the remainder games if we dont make the top 4 (infact I will go 1 step further and say) if we dont finish in the Top 2 with a home semi first up it will now be a bit of failure. Anyway Ill hang on for ride amd enjoy the rest of the year I hope.

I know that for quite some time now we , or some of us have mentioned the fact that our premiership stocks will go downhill if our forward pack fails to deliver. As much as that is correct , I also believe that unless Ben Hunt can find his form from earlier in the season , then the Dragons could very well be firing blanks come semi final time .

He is the one player that can truly make the difference. His combination with Widdop can be one of the best in the NRL and on their day they can get our sluggish back line on the move , basically making the backs much deadlier proposition then they actually are , but only if Hunt is on his game .

The Dragons are a totally different team in attack when his game is ‘ on ‘ and he can control the play ever so well , thus allowing our much vaunted forward pack to throw back any opposition. Hoping that Sunday’s game against the Roosters Ben will find his form of old .

It’s easy to highlight individual players. Could be Hunt or McInnes for others (given his competition is probably the fiercest) or even Aitken. But the team is better than the sum of its parts. That’s the way it has been from the start of the year.

No idea who’s going to win.

That’s the perfect lead up to a game.

Can’t wait.

If Friz, JG and Nene are out - Dragons by 15.

The Roosters are very weak indeed in their Dress code, chopping hard at nothing, whilst our boys chop hard all day long, and scoring left right and middle third!
What a Legend Mr Beva Menzies!

Yeh but both halves need to take the line on more often or straighten up the attack then we can keep em guessing with runners of their shoulder. And vice versa we need these halves sitting off the forwards when their hitting the line also. It is called keeping the opposition guessing which we need to do a bit more of, moreso in our own half.

Saints need to make a statement of intent on Sunday. I’m not overly sure this will happen. Despite winning fairly comfortably against North Queensland, it still wasn’t a commanding performance. I want to see the Dragons pack be aggressive as it was during the first 10 weeks of the season.

Very true, if widdop and hunt don’t man up and do what you say, goodbye top 4.

After last nights result, we have an opportunity to finish this round 2 wins ahead of 4th place.

You'd have to think that doing so would make us top 4 specials, with the top 2 in our sights.

This is a huge game on a lot of levels.
I agree. A round 20 game is not normally the make or break of a season nor will it be the end of our campaign but a win would push our confidence levels way up as we play no real big gun until the semis (I dont count Warriors as a big gun) and a loss will put us 4th and 1 win behind (assuming Storm / Rabbits should win well) and falling behind in for / against ratio with the 2 teams on 30 and Roosters who would then go to 28 with us. And then likely only 1 win above 8th place (26 points) assuming Warriors beat Titans and Pennies beat Manly.
Yeah okay...I will admit it...Dragons playing style ATM just make me nervous until I see a lot of that defensive and attacking energy again!

OK, but this week REALLY is make or break!

It is only because as supporters we fear the usual limp in towards the finals and have watched the partial slide in form and weakening defence since the first 5 rounds. So for me there is plenty of CRUNCH games. If we beat the Roosters I will almost start to believe a Top 2 finish is more than likely after Round 25.
