OK, so what if Jerome's man of the tournament, which he very nearly was for Samoa in 9's. Where's Burton off to?

Why does he have to go anywhere. Supersub 14 awaits. Nothing like turning a positive into a negative. There will be opportunities for Matt at the Panthers (I believe)

The nines won't tell us anything about Luai, the first 80mins of the season will though. If he's still running around in circles then he'll never be a first grader.

Burton wont be going anywhere

Edit: I didn't see the earlier post about Luai, he wont be leaving either, perhaps if he hasn't established himself after this season he might look for another shot somewhere else. I could see them both in the starting line up at some point.

Its hard to tell anything from the nines tbf.

Luai will always have a bit of that running style you are referring to in his game, it doesn't have to be a bad thing, it could be a great strength if he can find a the right balance between that and direct and structured play. Could go either way, with Burton breathing down his neck he has a bit of pressure on him.

Benji Marshall had the same habit of moving across field. However he got plenty of time in first grade to correct it and he had Robbie Farah to cover from him as well. Luai hasn't had the same opportunities in first grade nor does he have the same skill set as Marshall.

He is number 1 on the chopping block if we struggle early in the season. Roosters, Storm and Raiders all within the first 5 rounds. He could be in reserve grade by then and looking for an early release.

Burton looks quite capable but our spine needs a player like Luai. Hoping he kicks on.

I can’t wait for the nines this year.
It’s always fun but there is a lot of extra interest now that we have posted a strong team.
My prediction is Luai and burns will shine.
Anyone know who the fastest players at the club are?

Why? He was born and raised in St Marys.
I am aware, are you aware the Warriors target kiwis?

They will offer money you probably could, but will not match.

Hey lets hope I am wrong.

If he really kicks on this year, probably ends up a Rooster anyways.

What will happen will happen. Is your forum a bit boring at the moment ?
