New Nintendo Direct was pretty darn good.

Here's what was covered

E3 2013 will preview Super Mario WiiU, New Mario Kart & New Super Smash Brothers
The Wonderful 101
Bayonetta 2
Monolith (from the dev team that brought us Xenoblade)
Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem
New Yoshi Game (Yarn graphics)
Zelda Wind Waker remake

Plus more.

2013 is shaping up as a big year for Nintendo.

I agree about console bias being childish... but I think that's just it, when I was a kid I could only afford (or get my parents to buy) one console. Much easier for me to be impartial now I've actually got money lol

Wouldn't mind getting one a WiiU when a few more quality titles are released. Wind Waker remake sounds cool, thought that was a pretty underrated Zelda game tbh.

With the Wind Waker remake, plus the officially announced Wii U Zelda, I'll definitely be getting one of these very soon.

Long time lurker here.

The new Monolith game looks incredible (mech vs monsters ect) and also the rumours on how the new Zelda game will play is jaw dropping.

Phaps when weather and winter kicks on I may be coaxed into the new machine....I still have a gazillion games on the 360 to get moneys worth out of yet though:lol:

It's a good system even if you have your naysayers

Just finished Zombiu and have not been so freaked out by a game since the earlier Resident Evil games it is quite good it has it flaws but a Zombi U2 shall make a perfect survival horror game hopefully sooner rather than later.

Eternal Darkness on the Game Cube would have to be one of the most underrated games ever.

The Cube is the machine I've kept despite upgrading to a 360, for the RE games, and Eternal Darkness. ED is an outstanding game! I must admit my hopes for it weren't good after so long in development hell, but it came out a terrific title!
The Cube is also a fun multiplayer machine with Mario parties etc

REmake was a great game. Trying to finish Zero but it's tough.

So I've come into some money for my birthday and am thinking of maybe getting a wii u, but have some questions.

1. Currently have a wii...any point in keeping it or do all my current games work on wii u and I should trade it in.
2. I have four wii controllers, but none have motion plus...worth keeping?
3. What games are good?
4. Is it actually worth the money?

All wii games work on the wii u but if you still play gamecube games then keep your wii.

2. I have four wii controllers, but none have motion plus...worth keeping?
I'm sure you need motion plus as the wii controllers are still used in games on the wii u.

3. What games are good?
I own
Zombiu is a great survival horror game (finished)
NSMBU (finished) great mario game
Assains Creed 3 (playing now)
Fifa 13 (haven't played yet)
COD BLOPS2 (finished but bored of multiplay)

Coming soon

Monolith Soft Trailer for a new Xeno game, looks mighty epic

Lego City: Undercover. Never played a lego game but this is an open world game and looks quite fun.

Resident Evil: Revelations. Looks like a truer RE game than 5 or 6.

LOZ: Wind Waker Remake :shock::shock::shock:

4. Is it actually worth the money?
Yes it sure is. Games are a little slow coming out but that's the same with all new consoles but that will change soon enough.

Good Wii U site

They REALLY should use the same control scheme from Resident Evil 4 - Wii Edition for RE:R... it was pure perfection, and elevated that (already excellent) game to another level that is occupied by very few titles. They will, of course, try and use the new gamepad instead. I hope it plays well...

Since you can use the Wii remote for the Wii U that control scheme could still be an option.

Will buy it once the Virtual Console is up and running. Then I'll unplug my Xbox and revisit my childhood for the rest of the year.... in HD!
