Man allegedly steals four tonnes of avocados from Queensland farm

A 41-year-old man who allegedly stole four tonnes, or $20,000 worth, of avocados from two south-east Queensland farms, has been charged by police.

Police said the man from Blackbutt, about 170 kilometres north-west of Brisbane, was charged on Friday over the alleged theft which occurred during 2017 and 2018.

The orchards were in and around the Blackbutt area and CCTV captured a car entering the orchards and the avocados being stolen during the past two winter picking seasons.

Detective Sergeant Mark Ferling said the farms suffered significant loss from the loss of four tonnes of avocados.

Our farmers need as much support as possible at this time and theft like this is just intolerable, he said.

The Blackbutt man was charged with 18 offences including six counts of stealing, six counts of receiving stolen property and six counts of fraud.

He is due to appear in the Nanango Magistrates Court on September 20.

I do not have much interest in it. The guys in charge will push their own agendas. People like Gronk who I feel like has worked hard in his life and has good morals but also had a good upbringing and family would have his own views on how the country should be run based on his thoughts and experiences so far on his journey.
Another person with another upbringing and experience will have different views and ideas.
Neither is right or wrong, just different. But that is also just how I see it based on my life and experiences so far.

I am just happy to have someone to chat to occassionaly, food on table and a bed.
If I get to make love occassionaly its a bonus. Cars, new furniture , expensive watches and holidays and fancy tvs bla bla is just a bunch of bullshit to me.
Politics seems complicated and well that I am not.

Yeah still get staff and office. Still Turnbull was 29th PM. How many are still alive 5 or 6 ? No biggie. Most have made significant sacrifices in salary and in life to serve their country. They work for peanuts really.

The fact is, pollies who earn 200k a year + are going to do whatever it takes to protect their job rather that give a rats arse about their country. The constant stream of polls and media commentators opinions make them scurry for approval rather than have the fortitude to stick by a party policy that's difficult to sell to the people.
