Forget the TV built-in OS, be it Sony, LG etc. Get yourself an Apple TV. For $250 it has all the apps you'll ever need including Netflix, Stan, Prime and Kayo. I have never been an Apple fan boi, but have to concede that the Apple TV is beautiful to use. Streams in 4K too.

Like an ipad, you have apps and they take up a lot of your space. You can sink your iCloud photos etc and also iTunes. If you are watching Stan or Netflix the Apple TV will also need a few GB to cache in advance. I you hire a movie from iTunes, I believe that it will cache that as well, especially if it is 4k.

There are actually a lot of good deals on iTunes and have often watched new releases in 4k for $3.

64gb is a fair bit for apps and a bit of caching

A movie in 4K is between 4 - 8 gb. So if your family is halfway through 2 4K movies and you have synced your photos and home movies plus your itunes music, probably not.
