Generalising about a whole country is even more of a joke.

Value for money is still relevant even if they are overpriced. You may say, instead, that Mercedes are less overpriced, but it is really the same thing - you get something better from Mercedes than you do Audi.

But I drive a Camry, so...

I disagree, the Audi I looked at is more powerful and packs more features than the comparable Merc. Aesthetics however are a personal choice. Personally I think the Audi Q5 has aged gracefully and when they change things they are only slight which makes your recently superseded one still look good.

Their philosophy remind me of the BMW 3 series, even an early 2000’s one still looks good.

I ended up getting an incredible deal for the Audi Q5 TFSI Sport. I’ve had to literally show people at work the quote because they didn’t believe me. Obtaining 5 years factory warranty and 5 years free servicing clinched it for me. Mercedes and BMW wouldn’t extend the factory Warranty beyond 3 years but Merc did offer some third party extended insurance warranty which is capped at $10k. Costs well over $3k though.
