Just talked to a close mate. He is a big time commercial lawyer. Very experienced and educated.
Said the issue was that border force did not give the opportunity to delay the decision untill 8.30am. It had nothing to do with his vaccination status.
The court determined that he should have had the opportunity to talk to tennis Australia,lawyers etc. AND he was not given that opportunity.
So the courts decision DID NOT hinge on wether he had the medicine or not.

Well the court didn’t consider if the “medical exemption” he provided was bona fide. So if he entered the country on dodgy paperwork, then he he may well be escorted to the next plane out.

But there's probably a reason they went early, as giving him more time could have made his case stronger.
