You’d rather a month long holiday in Europe than half that time in the third world? f**king crazy
Haha yeah do you blame me.

I love going to Europe in there summer.

Be nice if the flight was 5/6 hours shorter.

Travelling to the third world of Asia outside of Japan & Singapore doesn't appeal to me atm. I did Thailand when i was a kid with the family. We were in Bangkok during the 2008 GF and couldn't find a sports bar to watch the game. It was a dud game anyway.

While in Europe there is so many places to go and see the architecture and history with all the old towns in most towns is incredible. And then comparing them to the newish part of those towns.

Then you have the fact you can still have a good time and get on the drink everywhere without the RSA marshals on your back like it is here in Australia.

I’ve never been to Bali and don’t have any interest in going there, but I’ve got a few mates who are cashed up bogans and they all love Bali. They all seem to be surfers though.

Cheap piss and it seems like it is socially acceptable to behave like a degenerate.

It's a cesspit of cashed up low IQ Aussies embarrassing our country and having zero respect for the Indonesian people and culture. It is a shame as Indonesians do require the tourism from Australia to keep the place afloat - so they kind of accept the poor behaviour.

When I think of Bali I visualise fat middle aged Australian men, belligerent drunk carrying on like dickheads.

Well not all of Bali is full of bogans. I have an uncle who lives in Ubud, so I have been more than a few times, but only made the mistake of staying in Seminyak the once. Much cooler up in Ubud. Views of rice paddies from the pool (from where we usually stay), fire flies buzzing around at night. Taxi into town and grab something to eat down Monkey Forest Road. The only downside is the 90 min drive from the shemozzle of an airport. We'll prolly call in to see him again later this year, cos he's getting on. So not the worst place IMHO.

Don’t you dare pretend this isn’t a euphemism
Monkey Forest Road needs some long overdue trimming.
