Heaps of shows on telly lately. Tiny House Hunting is one. They're the size of a caravan but look like a house. And they're completely ridiculous.

Highest so far has been 47 at Wilcannia, but there are 45's and 46's all over the state. It's still only 2.45 so there's more heating to come.
Already, many many all time records have broken, including Orange and Bathurst.
There will be dozens of heat records broken today and tomorrow.

There's also a chance of some snow flurries on the highest parts of the Snowy Mountains tomorrow night!!!

Would be pretty well close to it.
Not sure where to check that info tbh.
Look at all the high temps from here to the western, north western and south western border of NSW.
Off the scale tbh.
So many records have been broken. Already. And not by a little bit, but smashed. And there's still time for higher temps today.
Penrith has already had a rise with 46.9 now the highest.

This article says the Tomago aluminium smelter consumes 10-12% of the state's electricity (wtf!!??) and it will be reduced somewhat to prevent blackouts. Could they not just shut down for the arvo?

Someone on WZ forum suggested that we would more than likely be the hottest place on earth today. The only contenders might be certain parts of Argentina and southern Africa.
I'd be pretty confident we have taken the mantle, if only for a day or two.
