They can do what they want with it. Their lives are probably shit so no need to make them worse. I reckon it would be such a small amount it costs the country it isn't worth worrying about.

Traditionally welfare (I'm talking about job seekers, not those on disability etc) was introduced as a leg up for those who are in between jobs.
Welfare is not a career. There are families that are generationally on welfare. I once employed a girl who was from a low income family demographic. She was with us for 3 years and had a boyfriend from high school. One day she announced that she was engaged. We bought her a cake and a bunch of flowers and she began to plan her wedding. Six months later she announced that she had to resign. She said that we were great to work for however she had no choice but to resign because if she was employed she and her soon-to-be husband stood little chance of getting public housing.
Welfare is a safety net. If any of you need it I am happy for my taxes to support you. Sorry, but it is not there for your good grace, should you elect to sit on your arse and not contribute to society.
