Sure there is. Malaysia. What women wear seems to be optional.

They have got the whole multicultural thing 100% under control there. Chinese, Muslims, Hindus, Bhuddists, Christians all live in harmony.

I like Malaysia. Love the food. Great people. Lots of cool places like KL, Langkawi, Penang & Tioman Island.

Quick FYI: Malaysia is not an Islamic country.

Their official position is that they are neither an islamic nor a secular state. They are a normal state that recognises Islam as the biggest religion in the country. (Straight from the mouth of their last PM).
Dress in Malaysia tends to be more conservative than Aus, and 99%+ of shopkeepers who are women wear headress (i have never asked them, but i assume not because they are muslim, but rather so as not to offend potential muslim customers).

LOL. Like I have the geopolitical answer for the middle east. It's been bubbling along forever. One thing I do know is that your interweb peacock strutting suggesting you "know" the answer is unconvincing to say the least. You don't, so get your hand off it.

I have listened and read a few things stated by those experienced in these international affairs and it seems that the way forward is for a negotiated cease fire in the Syrian civil war. That's no mean feat as they have been trying for 3 years. Once they have a cease fire they need to have a political solution to Assad, which may or may not involve removing him.

This is what they are doing at the G20 right now. Putin will play a big part in that solution.

The aim would be for millions of Syrians to return to their country and that they can feel safe.

An arab lead peace keeping force seems to be they way to go, they say, after that they are hopefully able to repopulate Syria and help them re-build. I read that some 8 million homes have been destroyed.

As for ISIS, who knows. There has been some success in the past week by Kurdish forces recapturing Sinjar based on a ground assault backed by US air strikes. Similar battles may well recapture more villages and cities, but it will do little to slow the terrorist momentum that they seem to have ATM.

ISIS, like Al Queda, will be eroded over time but probably never eliminated. Strong muslim leadership (from muftis and parents) is required there to stop their ability to recruit vulnerable and naive youths as easy as they have been.

Oh, and for the record, I would say I know more about the Middle East than anybody you know. I've studied it for a long time, discussed it in depth with people I know from the region (Afghanis, Iraqis, Lebanese, Jews) and have the intelligence to put everything together. Those I know who have knowledge of the region and its history (either from living there or studying it) rarely disagree with me and then only on minor points.

If you consider what we do here on this forum direct contact then you yourself will never get a better source on the Middle East than me...and what I will tell you again, for the billionth time, is that you are an ignorant fool who lives on knee-jerk reactions that the cliched left have to provide for you. The west contributed greatly to what is happening in the world particularly the US. They were tyrants but would the world have been a safer place if we left Hussein, Gaddafi and Assad to work out their own problems in their own patch? I know it's not that simple.
