The two Hull SL clubs are in the comp and doing well. Your analogy would be like me saying Hull should have a third team rather than those cities. That would just be stupid, which is why you sound so stupid arguing the same thing for Brisabne.

The other day you ridiculed the Broncos and Dolphins for averaging 68k fans at Lang Park in 2023.

Now you're saying Hull FC and Hull KR are "doing well", despite having a cumualative average that's only 20k and behind the local soccer team?

Ha!

You just make it up as you go along.

What's stupid is you saying that Hull having two teams is equivalent to Brisbane. For every person in Hull there's 10 in Brisbane. Let that sink into your damaged brain cell.

Ch9, V'landys, Ikin, Gould and NRL players have advocated for a third Brisbane team.

Are you calling them stupid?

Not needed, not happening, next clubs will be genuine expansion.
PNG, Perth, Christchurch. Thats whats coming IF the NRL goes to 20 teams.

Only in your demented brain cell.

What isn't needed an unwanted team in Perth. The city doesn't have enough active rugby league fans to support a rugby league team.

another classic meltdown lol

Id rather see any city without an NRl club get one than greedy merkins like you get a third one you wont support.
I don't give a f**k what you say. You're a demented dumbarse and belong in a straight jacket alongside mongoose.

again its not the same! Hull has two A grade clubs. none of those other cities are close to A grade club. No-one is replacing an existing A grade club.
The argument would be like arguing for third club in Hull because the other two are A grade at the expense of an expansion city. No one is arguing for that, yet you and are your mate are arguing the exact same scenario for NRL. Brisbane3 isnt needed and if the NRl has any sense wont be seen for many a year to come.

The new system RFL is introducing will judge clubs by fan support and wealth over several years. Hull KR are one of the smallest and poorest clubs in the Super League. It's very possible that Toulouse will win a licence ahead of them when the teams are graded.

Despite all of your bullshit predictions and delusional claims about what the NRL wants and needs, the fact remains that the ARLC and its constituents are a business reliant on revenue and wanting more of it because it is needed to fund expansion. We've already got Ch9 stating they want a third Brisbane team. None of the broadcasters are interested in Perth or New Zealand. Expansion will come down to whoever generates the most revenue from broadcast rights and football operations. PNG is ahead of Perth and NZ2 because it is providing guaranteed money from Albo. That's the facts, soapdodger.

The insanity from Perth Red is highly amusing. I'm looking forward to the epic tantrum he throws when Perth don't get the 18th licence.

It's hilarious seeing him acknowledge PNG as the "favourite" after death riding them for months.
If I could be bothered taking his quotes from the super league thread on expansion and overlaying them here on what he says about nrl expansion would be hilarious

He's a whiny arsehole with an entitlement complex. The prick couldn't care less about expansion. He's just using it to justify putting one in Perth because he knows it's the only way they'll get one. On no other metric does Perth warrant serious consideration for a licence.

To be fair there is no journalist talking about a 3rd Brisbane side atm. Heck even the bloke making the decisions hasn’t talked about a 3rd Brisbane side for nigh on 6 months, probably more.

If you were making a punt then those 3 are more likely than a 3rd Brisbane side atm

Maybe. Who knows though. Maybe nobody in Perth or NZ will come up with a good bid. Heck they may stop at 18 clubs for all we know.
I actually think that is quite possiblr tbh. For all the bluster it seems 20 clubs wasnt even thought of till Politis blurted it out.
The only driver that may change that is the fact the NRL continues to fall further behind AFL in revenue, they hit $1bill this year whilst we were celebrating our less than $700mill. That may give enough impetus for NRL to be brave and keep adding clubs, but history would suggest its unlikely.

The other possible driver is cost neutrality for NRL, though that would require the Govt to not only fund PNG to operate but also give NRL $20 mill a year to cover the cost of them being in the comp. If WA govt is also throwing enough enticement on the table it may be NRl cant miss the chance at those two funded opportunities, in which case club 20 is likely NZ and more of a risk financially they are willing to take.

Do you really believe the ultra-ambitious, driven V`landys wasn`t thinking of 20 or more teams, c`mon, he just credits blokes like Politis, to give them an ego boost with the publicity, he does it with all the influential people, it`s smart, they love it and it keeps them onside and feeling important. It`s called smart business.

Get it through your thick skull, no one wants a Brisbane3 club, at least for many many years to come.

Oh really?

Then how do you explain this, you dumb bastard?

The Brisbane Tigers' NRL bid has received a huge boost with newly minted Queensland Rugby League CEO Ben Ikin declaring his organisation is behind their quest to become the competition's 18th team.

"We've had the Gold Coast Titans and the Dolphins. Queensland seems to be the place to expand the game," Ikin said.
"The Brisbane Tigers, formerly the Easts Tigers, have a long history in this jurisdiction. The QRL are right behind their bid to be the 18th franchise."

You do realise that the QRL has a vote at ARLC meetings, right?

The NRLWA doesn't.

If you think the QRL doesn't count, then how do you explain this, soapdodger?

For Fordham, making the most of this momentum looks like bringing more games to the region – and potentially another team.

Fordham: “We’re really committed to working with the NRL in growing the competition, and Queensland is a big part of that. We think there’s room for another team here in Queensland, and the Dolphins have been the perfect example.

“The more games we can get played featuring Queensland teams in Southeast Queensland, the better. The engagement in rugby league here is just next level, and the energy of the crowds has a material impact on the quality of the broadcasts that we make. It helps create atmosphere, it makes the commentary team rise, it makes the production team rise.”

Simon Fordham is the Head of Strategy, WWOS. He spoke for the entire Ch9 network. He wants another team in Brisbane. He never said Ch9 needs or wants a team in Perth.

You've just been owned. Deal with it, soapdodger.

Journalists have been talling non-stop about North Sydney Bears for 24 years. They've talker up the Jets, too.

The reason they do it isn't because the Bears and Jets are favourites to get two of the next three licences. They do it to sell papers in Sydney.

Dolphins were rarely mentioned by the press in the lead up to their inclusion. Most of the attention was hogged by the Brisbane Tigers and Brisbane Jets.
