Oh yeah i like him alot ... but maybe he is too polite lol
Yeah i would imagine probably would not have thought that about 8 years ago.

Graham had a few nasty incidents biting Billy Slater in a GF.

Verbally abusing the ref which incited the Doggies fans losing the plot that day when he took out Reynolds.

I think the fact that he has lost the plot in pressure situations is related to why he now is very non critical of others. For a start it would obviously be easy for those he criticises to throw stones in return but I also think he realises that situations aren't always black and white.

Does james graham ever say anything bad about anyone?
“Here Guv, have a geez at this dental flosser! Even ‘is cows and kisses can’t stand the Berk. Always running north and south. Probably met Barney Rubble with the gaff in the sheds.”

guys who play at that level are obviously very competitive, that's what drives them to play at such a high level

nospam29

and yeah, the fact that he's been there done that is why he understands players can go the extra distance to be better or more competitive

for a soap dodger, he seems a reasonable bloke

James Graham is one of the goodins, just don’t ask him about player welfare / concussion. When playing I think he got it horribly wrong with his “I’ve done my own research” and “my body my choice” position on head injuries.

He is entitled to his own opinion, however I think he ignored his influential position in the media whilst still being a player and how that may sway other players in the self care space. The game does not have room for players who choose to waive their personal safety and long term well being. It’s a recipe for disaster.

Infact it isnt ev3n a case of saying something bad, he always puts a positive spin on everything in league.

Not having a go at him really, but surely he has some bad thoughts every once in a while
That's a good thing as apposed to every other pundits is willing to tear the game a new one to grab that headline or to be seen as hard hitting and tough.

It's not like he doesn't know his sh*t when dissecting a game or players game. He just looks for the positive right across the board. He doesn't obvious have biases like most the others do and wants to lift the game up not pull it down.

You know like most AFL pundits do. Breathe of fresh air really when it comes to the game as a whole side of things. I wish we had more of those types. But instead we are stuck with the likes of Buzz, Hoops, Weidler and Co who always draw quick pistols and blast away at the slightest opportunity and then wrap themselves in the games flag if called out about it.

I agree it's always better and often more difficult to focus on the positives.

Yeah he was a bit reckless in his comments initially when still playing

Interesting though, last week or the week before on 360 he confessed the last couple of years at the Dragons he avoided doing things in the game (where the head needed to go) that he wouldn't have thought about twice before.

The other thing , when he said he "done his own research" he made a strong point about lifestyle - food, exercise , weight, smoking, drugs, sleep etc. plays a huge role in how your future in later years shape up

Does anyone seriously think that Kent believes what he said about Barnett or just wrote the article for contrarian clicks or argued the point on 360 for dramatic effect ?
Kent playing devil's advocate for shits and giggles again.

Meninga proved that match day coaching was a non-factor. The real work of coaching occurs month after month from pre-season to Mad Monday, year after year. By the time kickoff comes around there's f**k all the coach can do to influence the result.

So the vision last week of Dyl being shown plays on the ipad at half time was a complete and utter waste of fu*king time?
Also.
What reason was there for Canberras reversal of form, effort, execution V The Mighty Tits after half time last weekend?
