I don't think we were well run for decades prior to 2019. Winning starts in the front/back/side office, and we have been a different club since 2019. It's less than five years and we have won 60% of our games and made a grand final. Not too many teams have been better in that time.

The Kearney/Stuart experience was formative for my understanding of the importance of resourcing. After that I realised how essential constitutional change was. 2019 was an absolute watershed for our club. Covid set us back a bit (off the field) but it looks like we are moving forward again.

SK had a rubbish squad and the salary cap was rooted. Same goes for Ricky.
By time BA come in some quality players where arriving. Semi had also been unearthed. He never had a bad squad or money issues like SK or Ricky

SK made the rubbish squad, He managed to make us spooners signing ton of used by date players eg. Carl Webb, Ben Roberts, Chris Walker, Reni Matua etc...

He signed those players because they were all that were available and could fit under the cap. We were in decline anyway.

We need to get rid of Paulo. It will fix our defence and create space to sign a gun winger who will make more metres than him.

I kind of agree but we also need to get rid of the coach and go in another direction. What I don’t want is to keep him until end of 2025 when many of our players are off contract and then he suddenly has some bargaining power.

How would a 13 year failure have any bargaining power!? Oh thats right I forgot it’s Parra he’ll probably already be extended until he is a chance to be snapped up by one of the big powerful clubs like Manly or the Sharks.
