Anyone that backs a heavy favourite in a derby game deserves to be parted with their money

I never back heavy faves and -8.5 lines scare the crap out of me in NRL, between 6.5 and over double digits it's too much of a coin flip. Especially in early rounds.

That's why I went the total. Yet still got screwed. They could have at least at the courtesy to not convert one of the tries scored! :?

Without Inu I really like Manly -1.5. I would expect the total stays under, but Manly ML or the -1.5 is probably the bet of the round. Everything looks pretty iffy at first glance.

Manly has been my bet of the round for the whole season so far.. Inlcuding this week.

I got on them a week ago for the game tonight.. $2.20 on sportsbet. Stupid odds. Even now at $1.90 on betfair are overs. Good luck :)

I wish I hadn't forgot to do HtH

I did go Manly -3.5 at $2.25 though. If the second half continues what the first half started, lol @ me for thinking -3.5 would be too much

Good work lads.

diggo: I got the ML at 1.88, nice one getting on early at 2.20.

Apey: I stuck with the ML as I was worried about golden goal.

Today's games are looking pretty awful. Won't be going crazy on anything.

Eels and Sharks: Usually when a team gets thrashed or held scoreless they'll usually bounce back, but it's Parramatta, can you rely on Sandow and Hayne to show up for one of the few games of the season where they play to their ability? +4.5 isn't enough with the amount of tries Eels can leak. Sharks won't be wanting to drop 2 in a row. No Carney, but Gordon can fill that gap. Parra need a miracle, Sharks just need to complete their sets, not give away silly penalties and keep the pressure on. I think Sharks should cover the -4.5 and total over 38.

Cowboys -12.5 after a trip to New Zealand with the form they're in? ugh
Backing Penrith, even with 2 tries and the hook? No thanks. Although the past 10 between em have all been within 12 point margins and surprisingly Penrith are 6-4 h2h and Panthers have a good away record up there. Upset of the round?

The total has gone over 44 6-4 from the past 10 back to 2006. Out of the last 6 games, 5-1 over 44. I think this time the trend swings under. Penrith averaging 23 ppg this season, shouldn't be able to put up that much on the Cowboys. Cowboys only averaging 14.5 ppg, obviously struggling. With the travel, warm conditions up there, some showers forecast for Townsville. Cowboys will likely tire and have to grind out a win, I doubt this is the week where NQ gets it together and cruises home as the line suggests. I think Cowboys win like 22-10.

Went for a bit of a speccie bet today.

Went with Parramatta -5.5 @ $2.94 and

Parramatta 1-12/Under 40.5 @ $5.50

Both bets are looking ok so far.

Not much room for error to get the 2 bets up with a 6.5 point margin for both to get up.. but as I said, its a speccie.

going all in with my winnings from that game on the cowboys to have a big win against the panthers..

Got cowboys @ -10.5
@ - 5.5
@-3.5

also Cowboys 13+/over 44.5

see if i can double or nothing.

The cows will be looking to impress after some poor showings, the panthers dropped luke walsh and pretty much have nothing

Tonight I think the safest bet is: Storm Team Total Over 26.5 @ $1.88

Not counting on Tigers to contribute much, although I see Storm covering the total themselves.

Few small fun bets in case of a glorious massacre
Storm 13+ & Over 40.5 @ 3.00
Storm -29.5 @ $4.90
Storm -38.5 @ $10

Storm to score 5 or more tries (4), over 42.5 (38) and Slater to score.

Doh, doh, doh. I thought it'd be closer than expected but still higher scoring.

I didn't put much on any of them thankfully.
