I find a key indicator in contract signings is often the location a player likes to feast on grilled meats and fixin's

I would not be surprised at all if Izzy comes to Penrith. From what I understand, we have been chasing him for a while now. It is either Penrith or Parra where he will end up IMO

Hope not that money is for Thruston in 2014

Yep I am of the though we will get one of these two. Both will be massive signings for the club, in both playing ability and marketing potential. The news headlines for either signing will be huge. Izzy may get us more publicity and sponsors so we may be leaning toward him

Israel would be great if we were losing Jennings.

But you cant have both those high priced backs in the same team.

Unless Israel wants to sign for $250k-300k. ;-)

I would much rather Izzy for 2013 then JT IN 2014. As great as Thurston is, he is really getting on in age and his body has taken a fair beating throughout his NRL career. I am sure he has some more great footy in him, but his age and injuries will catch up with him soon and he will suffer the same decline Scott Prince did.

That said a 40yr old JT in a wheelchair would be better then Walsh. But for the money he would be on, i dont think it would be worth it for a short term fix.

According to The Mole Folau will not be going to Penrith. Will be interesting to see how he goes next year.

Is any winger worth more than $300k, even a high profile one who may put a few more bums on seats?

Beau Ryan is. Only because he has so much pull with sponsors and has his mug on T.V so much. The rest? Even Izzy? NO WAY.

The publicity and sponsorship alone could make it worthwhile. That and the fact he was one of the best wing/centre before he left for flogball

Remember with the rise in the salary cap and future rises to come, the notional value of position as we/media/players see it has increased so i would say $300k a season is being conservative
