No it isn't. From all reports, the reason the deal hasn't gone through is the NRL. What Stuart is doing is playing the media to put pressure on the NRL.

Exactly. Astounded that some people can't see that.

Most people in our game do it. Eg "Admit the Bears or the AFL will take over" or Des Hasler's weekly "the Refs need to be fixed".

He's turning what should be a great story, bringing home two guys who left the code, and twisting it into another "RL is under siege/RL player leaving for another code' story.
