Fairytail ending for JT.
Now he can be the next immortal, hopefully not passed out drunk on Toowoomba airport floor after hitting on the ladies!

Bitter sweet....so happy for the cowboys and their community but the f**kers beat us to a premiership... Who would have thought that!

What.A.Grand.Final!

Could anyone write a more dramatic script?

The best GF since 1989 I reckon, I saluted the Cows but did whisper an aside to my Manly mate "thank god this season's over, bring on 2016".

He seemed to think the Warriors would be holding the trophy next year, but I just laughed, well, sort of. The hope will always live, the dream will never die.

Thanks fellas, I enjoyed the discussions again this year and look forward to seeing you all in March. Have a great summer (for those in the southern hemisphere) and those that play cricket, best of luck!

Cheers, Blair.

Pity the season ended on the stupid golden point system

It is dumb. The mad scramble for FGs is lame and not becoming of such an immense grand final. The AFL do a replay, why wouldn't the NRL? I imagine it increases revenue if nothing else. Or find another way.

JT is now the greatest of all time in my opinion. That guy just competes week in, week out for 80minutes. Every play. It's astonishing. Looks like SJ takes inspiration from him so I hope he furiously studies what he does and tries to replicate it.

This was a game for the ages, what an incredible game, perhaps better than the 89 grand final. Now it's our turn.

Just have a set 10 minutes extra time.

What a finish to regular time - the Broncos defence was astounding - but the Cowboys ewere the better side, Brisbane scored from errors only

Golden point is so stupid - should have draws in the regular season, and proper extra time in knockout games - Hunt, unfortunately, made it a forgone conclusion who would win - but I really don't want to see such a fine game end with two teams positioning for field goals

One suggestion, but are field goals still allowable? If so, you're still going to have a FG fest. And if it's a draw after 100 mins, do you go to golden point then?

Replay probably isn't a great idea, although revenue-wise I can see why the NRL would snap it up.

At least it gives teams a chance, not ending a game on one decisive penalty or error, or sometimes even just on whoever wins the coin flip to receive the kick off

I think a repeat GF the following weekend would probably make a few more bob than golden point.

Really not seeing what makes him better than a bunch of other halves - Fulton, Sterling, Mortimer, Kenny, Lewis, Daley, Stuart, Langer, Fittler, Lockyer - all great great players in their own right

I've not seen a better pairing than Sterling and Kenny at club level, and despite his huge media profile, I am shocked at how Sterlo is overlooked in these sort sof discussions
