They missus bought it for me for my bday.

I was going to make a crack, but I'll forego the opportunity. :D

Anyway, if u guys don't want to buy the NRL jerseys, why not take advantage of the strong A$ and help out our struggling cousins abroad?

2 examples:
Jacksonville Axemen are having a clearance sale, US$45 for gameday jersey including postage. Check their website www.jaxaxe.com
RLI - Irish home and away Intl Jerseys, or Provincial jerseys (Leinster, Ulster, Munster) 50 Euros plus postage - by my reckoning a little over half the cost of the NRL jerseys delivered. www.rli.ie go via the shopping tag.

There are most likely more out there, I think the German RL have jerseys for sale as well.

It's like you read my mind, I was about to order one of each before I read this.

There are plenty if you go looking, ones I can think of off the top of my head: Jamaica, Canada, USA, Italy, Germany, Serbia, Ireland, Wales. I've got some rare ones in my possesion from the last year or so: South Africa, Catalans, Toulouse.

Fair call. I was thinking when NBA and NHL jerseys used to cost around $180ish. Now as you say NHL authnts have gone up to $300ish and NBA jerseys have now gone up to $250.
My point still stands that an authentic from the US is what the players wear. Here an 'authentic' is a piece of sh*t. I think at one time ISC 'authentics' were the same cut and material as their cheap blank NRL jerseys.
I know my NBA authentics (before they changed to the new metarial this season) were the same jerseys that given to the players.
If I am going to pay $160 for an NRL jersey I want what the players are wearing.

buy the retro shirt, cheaper, you don;t look like a walking billboard and never goes out of fashion! This is my most worn jersey by a long way. You are right they are a major rip off, supply and demand is rubbish, NRL sells alot more jerseys in Oz than SL in Europe yet still charges double. Don't get me started on the price of kids jerseys!

They can't sell the "player cut" jerseys because they are cut to the individual players' dimensions.

The Bulldogs sold them for the finals in 2009, extremely comfortable actually.

Surely not every single jersey is measured and cut to each players needs? Reckon it'd be more like a "players cut" XL jersey is huge across the chest and narrow at the bottom. Whereas the "supporters" cut jerseys are just cut straight up and down, i.e. same with at the shoulders and at the bottom.

I've got about half a dozen Jets players jerseys that are cut in that way. Guessing it'd be the same for the NRL clubs....?

I have got a "pretty in pink" players cut Parra jersey from this year. Totally different material, a lot more stitching, grip dots on the front and a very small make. Got it for the same price as the typical jerseys sold in stores
