The culture of doing these tapes and them being shared is hurting the game. I am not saying they cant do them just that the cost of doing them (and them coming to light) is you wont be playing in the NRL for 1 or 2 years.
This only encourages those who would leak these things, as it seems has happened in this case.

May 1 will tell all I guess
It could go a lot longer than that. If he pleads not guilty the trial will be at a later date.

That is the thing. Whether or not there was a crime or not is different to whether or not you should film and send to mates

and that is concerned. The girls in this videos are someones daughter, sister, potentially someone's mum.

I'm sure that's not thought of at the time.

It's a nasty situation.

Same applies to May as a Son, Brother, Etc...These things are never good to be out. Hopefully that is one good that comes from it. Educates others of the embarassment if they get out

I am a long way from a Greenberg supporter, but in this case:

a) he hasnt done or said anything,
b) based on the fact that two women have gone to the police and made a complaint and police have laid charges, I think Greenberg is duty bound to do something, IMO at a minimum equivalent to Napa's punishment however I would say that in this case the punishment should be greater.

I still reserve my right to bitch and moan about whatever Greenberg does in this case.

Agree with T-Boon. Its gross behaviour and whilst recording is not 'illegal' with consent, the whole thing makes a mockery of any pretence to value or respect women.

Regardless of individual cases, the game has a huge of work to do to improve the culture - and more importantly convince the wider population that its doing it. We're waaay past the point where there's any value at all in knee-jerk defensiveness about individual poor little player's rights - what about the right of fans not to be disgusted and embarrassed by the behaviour of so many morons who play the game?

And I certainly never said that. The filming is fine and women seem to do plenty of it so it is not even close to disrespectful to women.
It is just coming back to hurt the game so it is disrespectful to the game.

Lol someone who has been charged with crimes should be treated equally with someone who is the victim of a crime. Lol

Of course not. Im with you in that I dont know what Napa was fined for (assuming he didnt leak the video) but in this case the punishment should be at least equal. You dont agree?

Im not confident Greenberg will get it right.

No it shouldn’t be anywhere near equal. Napa has been punished despite being the victim, if the NRL has another reason to punish him they should have made it clear.
This guys punishment should be a minimum of being fired in to the sun if we’re going to relate it to what Napa got.

NRL great Mark Geyer has "engaged lawyers" in response to "false and defamatory" claims published by a popular Facebook page about his daughter.

NRL Memes - which has more than 300,000 followers - posted a picture on Monday night of Geyer's daughter, Montanna, alongside a screenshot of a girl allegedly involved in the Tyrone May sex tape.

The post has since been deleted.

After repeated requests for comment, Geyer made this comment on Triple M.

"I have today engaged Brydens Lawyers to act on behalf of my daughter, Montanna, for the purpose of taking action against those who have published false and defamatory material which has caused incredible distress for my family," he told Triple M.

"On the advice of the solicitors, I do not propose to make any further comment."

Panthers will stand Tyrone down. Greenberg won't have to lift an eyeball.
