I tell you what PR. I also have an English soccer team. Guess what ?Since their relegation they are not spoken of and have no relevance. This side is Leeds United. Kids at school would ask what EPL side I go for and I simply state "My team isn't there anymore." When I tell them whom it is they all look at me in a puzzled way wondering where that club is from!

No wonder they look at you puzzled, the team is still there and they average crowds greater than most sporting clubs in Australia

2008?thats when we had our biggest boom since the discovery of gold. Another gfc and China trying to bu8ld its way out of it would suit us nicely thank you.

We’ll be right though thanks, no need to worry, it’s unlikely the world is going to stop wanting steel, gold, diamonds, lng, uranium, lithium and all the other sht we dig out the ground over here. Over $10billion of new mine sites in WA announced in last 6 months plus getting out gst back meanthe WA Govt will be flush again for next few years.

The Head of the Australia treasury has stated the biggest worries on the horizon in this country are:Housing and China. That bis also the real world.
Remember what happened in WA with all the expensive homes purchased ,due to the big monies being paid in the resource industry.Currently house prices are dropping around 10%,and Banks are tightening their monetary policy.

Nice to have all these new mines in operation and that happens when things are booming ,but they are still in the washout, subject to World issues. And potential trade issue USA v China.Pink batts won't save us next time.

Prior to 2008 life was rosy also, big wages and no one expected the dramas that started it all in the USA.

Good luck with complacency.

The head of the US Treasury Greenspan!! has noted Wall Street should also get out of its complacent attitude, as he foresees little increase in shares.

You didn't even get it dummy! The kids whom foliow the EPL intently didn't know Leeds ever existed! Geez your thick!

Who cares what kids in Newcastle know about English soccer? What does matter is the team you choose as an example to try and suggest that relegation out of the top flight is a death senatmce is in fact doing extremely nicely in the championship with huge crowds by Australian standards. It was a stupid call by you, as we all have come to expect.

Haha yours ifs buts and might be is just speculation. You are trying to say the wa economy is failing, it’s a boom and bust economy, has been for the 20 years I’ve been here and for long before that. but even in bust times it’s really not that bad. In boom time it’s nuts. I’ve simply shown that after a bit of a dip from 2014-2017 it’s back on its way up again and there are some major revenue generating mining projects under construction that will be operational for two to three decades.
Until we run out of things to dig up it will always be a wealthy city, and at times a very rich city.

House prices had a massive artificial hike during the last boom and have been resetting themselves over the last 5 years. Not a bad thing at all for most people. I got lucky and Sold my house in 2010 for double what I paid for it 5 years earlier, then bought in a beach suburb when prices dropped and got a house I could never have afforded before, worked out well for me :)

If there is one person who is good at hypotheticals and rumours it is PR.Olympic class.
The year in question is latter part 2018 and the ensuing ones.Of course you know more than the Australian Treasury department.

Yeah economy will go gangbusters for 100 years,China will continue to increasingly import our resources without question.

Geopolitical factors can stuff theories and what happened in the past big time is evident of that..
Glad you're so certain of the future .
BTW I'm fully capable f understanding market fluctuations in the housing industry interest rates, exchange rates and the roller coaster that is the share market.

Sydney people also made big time on the housing market for the last couple of years. If you have any idea on property prices in the Shire then and now, it may hit home.

WA govt seems quite comfortable with the economic forecast for next few years. Billions, yes that’s many billions, of $’s of revenue generating minining projects started this year, $4.5billion gst return negotiated. WA economy is not looking problematic. Feds also announced better than expected mid forecast. All of your arguments are hypotheticals with no evidence they are definitely going to happen.

Sure Trump could wage war on the world, China might invade Korea or Britain may wage world war 3 with the european union and the world economy could crash, or we could get hit by a meteorite, or we could face a zombie apoloclaypse. Such are the variables of life lol.

Nothing certain in life except death, but you make calls based on best evidence assumptions.

So merge and relocate Wests and Cronulla to Perth as the Perth Tiger Sharks and give the spare licence to Redcliffe?

There is no tyranny of distance mate! The Warriors can afford to fly a team around to compete in the NSW Cup, the PNG Hunters can afford to fly them around in the QLD Cup, Toronto can afford to play in league 1 and the championship, Perth and NZ both compete and fly around in the NBL (much, much lower revenue). It is not 1980 anymore, there is no tyranny of distance. These organisations have airline sponsorships and even semi-pro comps generate revenues that are very healthy.

Lol. 26milion in a nation almost as big as mainland USA. What's the USA population champ.? Now work it out with a distance per person per capita ratio ! You dumb shit!

I don’t see what any of this has to do with anything (except to dodge the points that were made).

No dodging buddy. I have clearly stated my comments (with a few typos ) Your stance for your idea of what you see for rugby league is both reckless and truelly fictitious onot a real world scale. But please go on as the time wasting gets in the way of proactive discourse. Please go on!!!!!! It's both pathetic and fanciful but please keep.it up. It's great time-wasting.

'merit status'? lol.

You specifically called 2nd tier a death knell. "Death" indicates ceasing to function as a club, which neither Norths or Newtown have done.

You do know what I mean. Anything not top flight is to most people, especially the mainstream, a 'death knell' for any top flight club. You don't see it that way plenty do. Put any club in a 2nd rate comp , go-to a pub , talk about footy, bring up your club which has just been relegated and you will see a source of ridicule and dismisiveness from the bloke/s you are chatting with. You don't think that this stuff happens ? Then you are truelly delusional and have no idea what ticks for a fan. And 2nd rate status does not appeal for the general punter on the street . That's reality. Their will be your boutique football attraction , like Newtown ofcourse, but definitely not mainstream! If you think otherwise you are devoid of common sense!

But you where the one that gave an example that very clearly shows it doesn’t have to be a death knell. Make your mind up!

Stop, dodging and answer the question, has it been the death knell for Leeds utd droppingout of the top flight of soccer? 30,000 people attending every week would say you are talking out of your backside again.

You crack me up! The NBL is an Australian competition not American lol even the most despised and poorly run of sports, rugby union, has a national second grade competition in this country. Who’d have thought it possible lol.

You fail to address any points made and instead engage in ad hominems, but that's not dodging the points being made... Ok then...

BTW, I'm curious as to how exactly I was inconsistent in anyway?

You idiot. And virtually no one knows about the 2nd tier basketball as far as the mainstream goes. This matters for sponsors etc. But you cant figure this out. Top flight is the the go in OZ. Stop wasting yours and my time!

Ive seen many Redcliffe comments this week over different channels.
Has Redcliffe been put on notice in case the Sharks go belly up?
