I can see the benefits of this, (as well as a Perth team for that matter) however looking at the competition as it is if Brisbane is guaranteed a GF every 5 years then that's an event that city can plan for, same as Melbourne/Auckland every 10 years. It’s a great opportunity to get the WA govt to put some money into the game here as well as getting squillions of cash out of them. Be dumb to not bring it here at least once every 5 or 6 years. If it does go up,for sale it has to be sold as the premium sports events in the country so states are falling over themselves to host it.
Plus it gives those city's teams incentive to play in a home grand final. Imagine if the Dolphins (example only) were a contender in the year the GF was due in Brisbane, it would create added excitement and interest in the lead up games to the GF.
If Perth/Adelaide/Whoever gets a team they join the rotation.
