Unless they give greater breaks between the pools and semis crossing them over significantly favours pools A and B. You could have a team from C who had their last match an hour ago playing a team from A who has had 3 hours break. Keeping A&B and C&D together will have to do while they insist on such short turn arounds.

Actually, further to that, no teams in the same half of the draw A/B and C/D can play each other in the Final either. Half the teams in the comp cannot meet in the Final. That's a bit silly.

Jaegerex I understand what you are saying. But surely there are ways to schedule things to give an evenness to the draw.

A) Even if they are on the same side of the draw, we get to see them play off in the earlier finals
B) its a Festival to exhibit the best skills of our great players, i dont think anybody actually cares who wins...

(if they REALLY cared about crowning the best team, the games would be more than 18 minutes long)

Who cares if it's only a fun 'micky mouse' tournament. Still something that wouldn't be hard to get right. It's not like OP was having a tantrum over it.

I don't know, you need to ask the organizers. I'm not have a go at you, but surely there is more to life than worrying about that. It is a gala fun tournament, as said, to showcase the talents of RL players.

The best rule change is that the team who concedes the try gets the ball. Last year it got way too unbalanced with possession

Yeah the 5 minutes this thread probably took to create has me greatly worried about OP's priorities.

Agreed, it makes the tight games even tighter too.
