Need a Dolphin's win here to keep Raiders 1 point in front of us.
Dragons win wasn't the beat for us, but keeps Panthers 5 points away.

Looks like the warriors table position won’t change this week with the Dogs and Dragons both getting up. Still in touch with the 8 though, only 3 points separating 4th and 12th

It sounds like it's getting to that point where we sweat on other results. Yuck, but that's on us for blowing those four games before the Panthers shock.

The Dolphins are six behind with plenty of time left but it seems the Raiders have made it click tonight.

Edit: the Dolphins may've snatched a thriller. 25-24, six minutes left. That Katoa is good - a 40/20 leading to a try and difficult conversion by Isaako to make it 24-all - and Isaako often does well with those pressure field-goals.

Bugger for us, Rapana's tied it up with a one-pointer, 25-all. A minute or so left.

Take a breath and reset. It's golden point. Let's not have our finals hopes rely on a game like this!

The mad scramble of golden-point has Redcliffe blowing plenty of chances to win...

Now Rapana misses by an inch to win it...

Onto the last five minute 'half'...and Isaako misses again, going too early perhaps...but Rapana makes no mistake, after some great metres by Tapine.

26-25, Raiders. Final.

raiders would have been hard done by if they had lost. fins should never have been given that flukey try when katoa throw it noticeably forward. even with the angle the other guy is standing in front of him!

That call with 5mins to go was disgraceful when they let go Tapine clipping Farnworth and then Farnworth was forced off for an HIA

not really, still only halfway through the season and only a point off the 8. That logjam of team immediately above us aren’t all going to win ever week, for a start they’ll play each other. Just being Origin time right now it’s going to mean a lot of lower placed teams are beating depleted teams above them on the table.

True, and three top-four teams were beaten this weekend. I kind of like that, as it pegs back some really, oppressively, good teams. However, it would mean so much more if it was done under normal circumstances.

Now the Cowboys have upset Easts, 18-16, just to add to the mayhem.

The great thing about it is there’s only 3 points between 4th and 13th, and I don’t even think the Titans and Eels are out of it completely either.
Only the top 3 have any right to feel comfortable about where they’re sitting, and only bottom two are probably eyeing next year already. It’s a nightmare to tip, but it’s super competitive even compared to recent seasons.

It was a great round of top-four upsets and freebies!

It's still tough viewing for us. As pointed out though, we're not far off. Just three points between us and the top-four.

There's five teams in the middle there on fourteen points. With our draw against Manly we can jump over a team like Easts - that have a plus 133 f/a - with a win (and a loss by them)!

The whole thing is fascinating. I love the mid-season, when we're all in there with a chance. Plus, we only have one guy potentially getting bashed up on Wednesday night whereas there's 33 other players, from our rivals, getting it dished out to them! Bring on Origin.

The Roosters being 8th, at 7 and 6, is wild. The best points for in the comp by a mile (75 ahead of the next side) and the best points diff, yet they're barely over 50% win ratio with an absolute stacked roster.

And then you’ve got the Raiders… 6th with a -37 differential. Gotta think that’s going to bite them in the arse at some point. We on the other hand just need a few wins, the draw and the odd number of points makes our differential less important, unless we finish equal with Manly…. which isn’t unlikely of course!

I've been nervously following the subsequent golden-point games thinking, 'come on, someone snatch the win!' And they have. We don't two more teams on odd number points.

Well, unless it’s the Raiders, Dragons or knights, I’d take that
