Lol bunker must be in a nervous wreck at the moment, cleared Murray as ok then Annesley must have been on speed dial telling them to get him off so they called him back over

Hmm. Bunker had a think on things and changed their original decision of just putting Cam Murray on report even though direct contact to the jaw.
Frizell goes off for HIA and Butler then says Murray now has to go to the bin.
Fox commentators were blowing up about why he wasnt in the bin originally. This is a laughing stock.
Smith made a salient point about wondering how the bunker knows how much force is in the tackle, when they make their decisions.

Good on Newcastle, so far. 26-12, they're keeping Souths from condemning us to third last.

So this weekend we have confirmed

Storm minor premiers, and the Dolphins loss means Cowboys and Manly are 100% playing finals footy. Tigers and Eels will play off for last place in round 27

Big games tomorrow, win for the Roosters and they look odds on to grab 2nd and importantly home advantage for the first 3 weeks.
Sharks a big opportunity to level up on points with Penrith as well and a superior points differential so Penrith may drop as far as 4th, and have the Dogs breathing down their neck. Dragons on the other hand can win and open a 4 point gap to 9th with only 4 more points available

lol, JWH back from suspension for 12mins before he finds himself in the bin again

Walks off saying nothing wrong with it but he is deluded, may be the end of Maria’s NRL career

The Chooks know how to put away a bottom
8 side.
48-22, Roosters. Final. They're in 2nd place now. Can they win the comp?

The Titans had an OK season though. They bookended poorly but their winning stretch in the middle nearly gave their season a passmark.

League on the GC has always been a failure though yet the NRL would never consider dumping them.

They’re third favourites, for sure

in a salary cap era, they should really run workshops for others, the squad they’ve assembled is hard to square away against others

If Cronulla win this then it'll open up absolute chaos for eighth place. What a shame we didn't win a few more games.

If Penrith lose 1 more game, and the Dogs win out from here, Panthers probably miss the top 4. Still a few twists and turns left over the next couple of weeks

Thought the Dragons might pinch this at home, and they still might (Edit - not so much 😂)But Cronulla and Fitzgibbon don’t get enough respect, solid all round side, well coached, well organised, coping without key players etc. Not sure whether they can win yet, but adding AFB next year might really put them in the middle of it

Think the Sharks have a bit of a stigma from the last couple of years having relatively easy draws to grab a high position then get stuffed in straight sets when the whips are cracking, so nobody will trust them until we see them in the finals. Have been pretty impressive with some names missing though

Cronulla's 38-10 win over the Dragons has blown the race for eight wide open.

It's still the Dragons' to lose though, they just have to win both their last games and they're sweet. Easier said than done, of course, and their f/a is a monkey around their neck.

Look at those dregs down the bottom. We're not even close to a late grab at it, unlike Canberra, Brisbane, Newcastle and Redcliffe.

I like James Graham, but currently assessing his sanity as I listen to him say the Eels should rest players next week to make sure they’re good to go for spoonbowl in round 27

Think Rich nailed it…

As an aside, what are Manly fans views on Seibold? He’s done ok, I think?

I think it is still a bit of a mixed bag, not many thrilled with the initial appointment, but can’t fault much so far and winning people over. I’m probably in that boat too. I didn’t rate him or like him, hated the treatment of Hasler, but there does seem to be an improvement going on, and a tap into the past of the club rather than completely wiping it. All in all it seems like they are on the up and he is doing a reasonable job, he was under fire a few months back though when Arthur became available

Interesting story coming out today that Tom Trbojevic hasn’t felt comfortable with the amount of time he has spent injured so approached the club and NRL to trim 300k off his current deal for the next 2 years. NRL quite rightly said they couldn’t do it, but shows the calibre of him
