Manly deliver big time for the Brookie faithful, 40-12.

Rd 3 Ladder:

What a round. Warriors in the eight, Titans in the eight, Panthers 12th (they won't stay tere, I'm not making fun of them), Wests top four, Bulldogs second...roll on next week.

interesting tackle speed count. 3.55s vs 3.54s but walloped 6-1 in the six agains. I wonder what the speeds were last week in our game.

Hes a man of mystery our Stick. "something changed this week"
That first 20mins I’d say their number would be a lot higher than that, they could have been pinged 3-4 times a set, really pushed the boundaries with it. Liked how he said they defended well and Manly should have been 50-60 ahead at HT lol

We were 3.67, Manly 3.93 🤣

Though i think a lot of the 6 agains were for offside rather than slowing the ruck down

I hate the 'the penalty count/six again count is lopsided so the ref must be biased' rubbish. OK, it's at Four Pines, so there is a chance there is a bias, but if it happened at the Milk Stadium, would Ricky stand up for what's right?

Maybe Canberra were just really ill-disciplined? That happens when you have no ball and you're fatigued.

You're right; if that happened in Canberra there'd be radio silence from Sticky.

Wouldn't surprise if at least part of his whinge was deflecting for his players. He can be a toss pot a lot of the time, but he's protective. Not like that grub Flanagan.

The Curran penalty was interesting. The ref obviously just made the decision to penalize his shithousery. As much as we haven’t seen that particular indiscretion penalized much, we did see a bit of shithousery penalised last season. Remember CHT binned (from memory) for dropping the ball on a Cowboys head?

Curran's impression of the ref was obviously spot on because the player he called out stayed out of the play until he had to make a tackle or allow a huge break up field. If the Doggies player hadn't run straight into that hole, or if the Eels player hadn't been fooled, would the penalty still have been called? I mean, players calling opposition players offside has to be pretty continuous throughout a game, right?

On his Sunday show Matty Johns talked about calling mousetrap in a game while standing offside behind the ruck, then watching the opposition dummy half walk over the ball before Newcastle picked it up for a score. That deserved the 4 points just for pulling it off.
