This season is really weird…. Melbourne towelling us and the Eels were the only things I could count on

A weird season, yep. Apart from the Storm and Eels this round was unpredictable.

Let me get this right but with our poor points differential there's seven teams that can jump in front of us next week? I know it's not possible due to some of them playing each other - and we might win of course! - but it just shows how tenuous our current top-eight spot is.

Plus, Melbourne, they're not even in first place yet, so that is the sign of an interesting season.

I only heard the score in your match today( starting to clean out the garage) and i was happy for the flogging you were giving them, then the gane ended and i got the truth.

So i started bludging a bit.

Eh, wouldn't describe that as a grub move honestly.
It's not like he's refusing to play for them while contracted.
Managed by Moses, offered a mil a year as a teenager, and “were not willing to review the offer”. That is ordinary, and obviously has something lined up elsewhere. Inevitable though considering they started this process a few games into his career when he came out and said he didn’t want to play there

Full marks to the Tigers for how they’ve handled it, Moses agitating against Benji Marshall too but they’ve stuck solid

Suggestions Galvin leaving because he doesn’t think Benji can coach… sounds fair enough tbh

Seems to have done a fair job bringing an 18yo into first grade and developing him so far. Let’s be honest though, a first grade teenage rookie isn’t going to come to that opinion himself, it is being brainwashed into him and used as an excuse to try and get to whatever deal they have lined up ASAP

Grub move from Galvin and his management
Trade window please.
This year seems to be rediculas for this shit.
Media won't want it as something to talk about as they don't seem to want to talk footy like other codes.
Players won't want it because somehow it affects their future, unlike other professional sports that have trade windows.

Unsurprisingly, there’s already suggestions that some of the Tigers squad aren’t happy with the kid and want him gone.

Really feel for the Tigers here. They did everything for him, gave him his start, Benji backed him to the hilt last year even to the extent of alienating other players like Bateman… then built a new roster alongside him that’s actually paying dividends.

They need to dump the kid and put Fainu into that jersey as soon as they can. Start reinvesting in their future instead of someone else’s.

And if there’s a way to hold Galvin to the last remaining second of his contract without him and his manager’s toxicity infecting the rest of the team, I hope they find it.

I’ll agree to disagree on Benji. If Gould is right (he usually is) this kid is high end talent so I could have introduced him to first grade.

I do think the worry is too much too soon (money/attention), that could impact the kid badly. That’s on his management

Warriors should ditch out 4 plods and chase the f**k out of him though

Interesting story going round with all Goulds praise for him over the last year, and it pointing towards Galvin ending up at the Bulldogs. Nice wee media platform Gus has to use to his advantage

How many coaches have you actually seen introduce an 18yo though, when they have more experienced options they could have rolled out and played safe in their first year coaching with an average squad, remember as well Parramatta didn’t think enough of him as a junior to keep him at the club

There is nothing to judge Benjis coaching on one way or the other so far, Wayne Bennett’s judgement is he will be very good. Certainly wasn’t anything to judge him on when Galvin first started wanting out after 4 first grade games
