Clint Newton's legacy in rugby league.....will he be viewed as a "Wish" version of John Ribot?

There is a bit of amateur hour in both sides in all of this....but at least V'Landy's has some runs on the board.

Yeah, but PVL and Abdo need to be careful here. They have alot to lose because they run the game. The longer this drags on without a deal been done, then there is the potential for something nasty to occur down the track like a strike.

The players know they won't get paid if they strike.

If the NRL went hard now and fined them for covering the Logo, The RLPA would stop the stupid photo ops and get back into the room

Wonder if Telstra has started complaining

Legally they can only be docked pay for the day they strike. So let’s say they decide to strike thurs-sun so there’s no games on. They will only lose 4 days pay. So if I’m on $520k a year that’s only $5-6k. They get fined that a month for illegal tackles lol.
It’s not a lot to force a deal to get sorted.

Fox and nein should step up and say if this continues they will consider it a breach of contract

let’s see how standfast they are on sharing gps data when their wages are at risk

And if you are a guy like Matt Lodge on a Train and Trial?

Or a NRLW player?

I have many many times! go to tv thread.
Looks like you thought it was a good deal ? And then the AFL got thier deal and you changed your mind ?

The NRL will never get a deal as high as the AFL, you need to stop comparing them.

9 didn't get ' mates rates ' but you're spinning it that way to suit your anti Vlandies narrative.

Actually where the financial penalities could come initially is from Telstra. By covering up the NRL logo, th e players are covering up the naming rights sponsor of the competition.

On an unrelated note, there is talk of the players actively delaying the kick-off games in first grade. Reports about it in the Telegraph today.
