Coach Thtr has named a near full-strength line-up to face Forest Dragon's Robbin' Thievin' Hoods

With Cheyse Blair and Kyle Stanley both being currently unavailable this week, Newly Debutant Eel Jake Mullaney has been named at Fullback with Canberra Prop Dane Tilse being released from the roster to accomodate Mullaney's presence.

Warriors Boom Rookie Konrad Hurrell will miss this week through Injury though as usual Kane Linnett has been named at his replacement.

"Yeah Kane-o is a very good replacement for Koni for sure, Definitely scores points frequently and we have an abundance of depth in those centre positions with Greg (Inglis) and Jarrod (Croker) with Konrad on the bench so it's a real luxury to have Kane come in for us because he would make alot of other starting sides in the league"

For the first time this year not including the bye rounds Bulldogs Back-rower Dene Halatau was missed the cut 17 though has been named on an extended bench.

"Yeah, I spoke to Dene and he is dissapointed but it really shows the competition we have going in that forward pack and I spoke before regarding Kane Linnett and the centre depth we have and I think we have similar quality depth in that backrow"

Chris McQueen also seemingly very unlucky to miss the squad after scoring a try for Souths on the weekend.

"It's unfortunate for Chris he is a good young player that can fill centre, wing or the backrow but unfortunately we are over-stocked in the backrow where his real strength is and Josh (Mansour) returns from the bye.

Sharks back-rower Wade Graham has been selected as captain over Sensation Greg Inglis after recent outstanding performances that have totaled in the double figures which also pushes incumbent starter Beau Scott to the bench

"He may not yet have a star by his name but Wade has really stepped up his performances and has been consistently solid all year but he really has gone into his own in the past few weeks and he is very pleased with being captain this week"

"Greg will be able to concentrate on his own game more so and step in a leadership role when he feels to do so, certainly nothing wrong with his form just opting to give him a break this week"

Souths United have the luxury of a number of high scoring performers of recent with Rabbitoh back-rower Dave Taylor another solid option along side Injured Centre Konrad Hurrell to don the C.

Despite recent rumours, Thtr has scoffed at suggestions that they were prepared to trade kickers with NRL leading pointscorer Jarrod Croker for the Returning Michael Gordon despite potential improvement within the balance of the backline

"Perhaps but we will certainly deal with the options we have at Fullback while it's manageable to make sure we can retain Jarrod and being the leading pointscorer he is certainly a very valuable asset to have despite our overflowing centre depth and limited No.1 stock"

Despite not being named in Parramatta's Round 19 team Cheyse Blair has been named on an extended bench as cover alongside Halatau and McQueen

Souths United
1 Jake Mullaney
2 Bill Tupou
3 Jarrod Croker [Gk]
4 Greg Inglis

Round 20 Team

Fresh from a thrilling 105-97 victory over the Robbin Thievin Hoods, Coach Thtr has named a near identical team to face the Kamikaze Pirates.

Wade Graham retains captaincy after a brilliant 32 point haul while Jason Ryles returns to the team for a dissapointing Nigel Plum and Konrad Hurrell returns from Injury to replace the Injured Luke Kelly who was ruled out for the rest of the season due to an eye socket injury.

Chris McQueen waited until the last minute to state his claim for the following weeks line-up with 3 line-breaks and 1 try assist in the dying stages of the miraculous 24-22 win for the Rabbitohs over the Roosters and has been rewarded with a spot on the wing over Bill Tupou joining Josh Mansour on the flanks.

Kane Linnett also produced as Hurrell's replacement with 3 line-breaks and a two-try haul and has been retained in the 17.

Fellow half Tyrone Roberts has been named as Kelly's replacement yesterday while Kevin Naiqama rounds out the squad on the day of the Anti-Tampering deadline replacing Kyle Stanley whose 2012 season is also over due to an ACL rupture. Both have been named on an extended bench alongside Eels Forward Matthew Ryan.

The Team is:

1 Jake Mullaney
2 Chris McQueen
3 Jarrod Croker [Gk]
4 Greg Inglis
5 Josh Mansour
6 Aiden Sezar
7 Peter Wallace
8 James Graham
9 Matt Srama
10 Jason Ryles
11 Wade Graham [c]
12 Dave Taylor
13 Shaun Fensom

14 Aiden Guerra
15 Beau Scott
16 Konrad Hurrell
17 Kane Linnett
18 Kevin Naiqama
19 Tyrone Roberts
20 Matthew Ryan

Centre Greg Inglis is out due to suspension with Konrad Hurrell promoted to the starting line-up with Half Tyrone Roberts set to make his NRLCEO debut for Souths United.

Wade Graham is also ruled out due to a sternum injury with Chris McQueen replacing him in the starting line-up with Nigel Plum coming onto the bench with Beau Scott 18th man due to playing in the centres this weekend for the Dragons with less of a workload expected.

Kevin Naiqama also makes his NRLCEO debut for Souths on the Chris McQueen's wing last week.

Cheyse Blair is 19th man.

6 Mighty Mustangs 21 11 1 10 1242 1268 23 -26

That's the top 6 and with only 2 rounds to go of normal competition that is basically the final contenders there. Only difference will be a couple of placings around 4th, 5th and 6th.

7th and 8th are two wins behind 6th.

Injuries a kick in the right direction for United

KEY injuries this season has sparked Souths United's form change after losing eight straight from round one to a Finals berth beginning this week in the elimination do or die match with the Gosford Goblins.

And whilst injury still rids the club going into the finals positivity is the real blessing surrounding the atmosphere.

"Obviously several longer term injuries have unfortunately warranted permanent changes to the squad so it's taken a while for the club as a whole to gel"

Four injuries are current at the club with all four key forwards in Aiden Guerra, Beau Scott, Wade Graham and Dene Halatau with Centre Konrad Hurrell battling with niggles and not to mention Greg Inglis another week to serve of his suspension.

One team's bad luck can be another team's fortune as Peter Wallace is set to take the kicking duties through to the end of the year with news Corey Parker may be out for the season.

Wallace has been the second-string kicker all season when Parker has been unavailable due to Origin or Injury.

Wallace adds as one of three goal kicking options going into the finals with Knights half Tyrone Roberts and Leading point scorer Jarrod Croker.

"It's a real luxury and it's added insurance if one of our kickers go down we are still in good stead to maximise what we can score every week".

Due to the team's rising injury toll Bench hooker Anthony Mitchell is set to play his 2nd game of the year off the bench alongside Parra back-rower Matt Ryan.

It is understood that the neither of the injured forwards are without a chance to play this weekend with Beau Scott rated the most outside chance to play the Gosford Goblins in the elimination game.

The team will be named later today.

Souths United fall short of premiership aspirations

Despite a brave turn-around in their season Souths United are out of the premiership race following a loss to the Gosford Goblins, Currently standing at 58-45 Thtr's men needed a star performance from Tyrone Roberts and Kevin Naiqama to keep their hopes alive but Gosford's Paul Gallen and Bryce Gibbs ensured the Goblins kept their hopes alive.

Souths United will be looking to finish their season on a high with one final fixture to determine their final placing against the Mighty Mustangs who went down to the Robbin' Thievin' Hoods this weekend also.

Good news for Souths United is that they'll welcome back centre Greg Inglis and backrower Wade Graham for the dead rubber match which will be played for pride with the team to be named tomorrow as usual.

"We fought a brave fight and credit to the boys for turning the season around like they did really showed the tenacity amongst the group and we will be really play for that 5th position like it's any normal week of competition fighting for those two points"

As next season looms Thtr has kept his cards close to his chest as to who he will be looking to keep out of his current playing squad.

"I am proud of every player who put on the famous jersey of ours and everyone put in 100% but i have to work with them and see what is best for them as well as not just myself or the staff here, I don't even know if i will still be at the club"

Souths United set to sign off for the final time with Friendly

Coach Thtr has announced his team for the last time this season after bowing out of premiership contention this past weekend.

However there is one final fight on his hands as they are set to play for 5th position t
his weekend and it'll be business as usual.

Greg Inglis returns from suspension and has been named captain.

Five-Eighth Aiden Sezar has been dropped after a quiet couple of weeks with Tyrone Roberts getting a well deserved starting spot.

Hurrell re-joins the resident "reserve" centre pairing along side the In-form Kane Linnett

Jake Mullaney and Sezar are 18th and 19th men respectively for this friendly against the Mighty Mustangs.

Thtr would like to recognise Dene Halatau, Wade Graham & Beau Scott as the unavailable players due to injury that would of liked to been out there for this final hit out however Thtr was unavailable for comment.

Souths United wish to extend their best wishes to the remaining teams vying for the LU NRLCEO 2 Premiership and the promotion to NRLCEO 1.

Coach Thtr stated earlier in the week that he would be delighted to go around again next season.

The team for the final time this season is:

1 C. Blair
2 K. Naiqama
3 J. Croker [Gk]
4 G. Inglis [c]
5 J. Mansour
6 T. Roberts
7 P. Wallace
8 J. Graham
9 M. Srama
10 J. Ryles
11 N. Plum
12 D. Taylor
13 S. Fensom

14 A. Mitchell
15 M. Ryan
16 K. Linnett
17 K. Hurrell
18 J. Mullaney
19 A. Sezar
(Two to be omitted)
