NRLW contract window opened yesterday. Brave Roosters will get first dibs and the rest of the teams will do theit best and sign from what's left.

Don't expect the all girls who became familiar in the blue and gold to go around again.

Hopefully we remain competitive. I saw somewhere last night that Cherrington was looking at signing 3 years, but we were losing the kiwi fullback.

Will we keep Tiana Penitani ?

I read Penitani was going somewhere else. If the Kiwi full back is leaving, we won't win a game.

We squeezed two seasons in back to back. The first season we had a gun blonde fullback who did an ACL ?

Then Gale Broughton NZ came in to replace her.

Maybe we have fullback No.1 coming back from the ACL ? I should pay more attention, but I don't.

TBF Bo likely only played for us because the tigers didn't have a team at that stage. She is the club captain for their NSWRL side

SHARKS POISED TO POUNCE ON EEL

The Eels' NRLW team is in danger of losing star winger and co-captain Tiana Penitani to Cronulla.

The Sharks are one of the four new teams to enter the competition in July and are chasing Penitani, 27, with a vengeance.

The dual league and union international has already represented the Sharks in the NSWRL women's premiership.

However the problem is that the flying winger is under contract to the Eels for the coming season - and the club wants to keep her.

For Penitani, it's largely a case of geography - she lives near Cronulla and is tired of the many kilometres - and tollways - to Eels territory.

Parramatte is standing its ground, though, and unlikely to release the long-striding winger unless the club can strike a player swap with a suitable replacement from the Sharks.

It says she is under contract. Sounds like her manager is agitating for a release.

#boo

If Gutho can drive to Parra from the northern beaches every day, She can suck it up and get there from Cronulla.

Or move out of the Shire, ffs.
It’s just full of bogans anyway.

There needs to get a series of decent signings behind this, we even lost one of the vaunted juniors, Ruby Jean Kennard who played a couple of games last year and a Toongabbie Tigers junior , lost to Wests Tigers NRLW. That’s not good enough really , given who else have signed elsewhere.
