By all means apportion blame on certain players but this loss is on the games administration.

Rugby League is a high intensity contact sport, contact with the head is inevitable during the course of a game.

The tackle resulting in a send off this evening is an
unavoidable consequence of the game, it will continue to happen.

Deliberate foul play, resulting in forceful contact with the head, sure we all understand the need to protect the players welfare. But tonight just further demonstrates the path the g@mes administrators are taking the game will ultimately destroy the fabric of the game.

Be interesting to hear Gould’s thoughts, will he be prepared to cop another significant fine and speak his mind.

It was a clear send off every day off the week.

That’s fine, if the line in the sand has been drawn and that’s now automatic send off, get used to games 12 v 11 because that’s where we will headed.

Absolute non sense. No intent to make illegal contact, just intended to make a really strong ball and all tackle, the attacking player slipping fell into the tackle and wouldn’t you know it, got hit in the head. Who would have thought this could happen in a contact sport such as rugby league.

Agreed...pretty sure it's not the first time it's happened to Walsh the same way

Is that a send off? Yes.

Should that be a send off? I think that's very debatable.

Agree, even Cameron Smith said in NRL it's a send off..not in Origin. It's tougher and people pay good money to watch 13 on 13 not one team with 12 players for 72 minutes. Those people that spent their hard earned on that game must be pissed. Boys did good under circumstances. Wonder what outcome would have been if they played with 12. Get rid of Hynes, bring in Moses and Dyl needs a shot. Sick of Teddy getting in the way. Liam was immense. The forwards were great, the whole team tried their arse off but it was always going to be an uphill battle with 12 men for 72 minutes.

So basically we were handicapped with a shit team the other night to lose to a shit team that we normally would always beat, only to appease that farce of an exhibition game in which an overrated future rugby union player had a brain fade and ruined the game after 8 minutes.

People can hype it up all they like and talk about how much money it makes for the NRL but ultimately clubs pay the price in having their campaigns derailed due to it.

We did fine the past couple of years because we either had very good depth or were in such a good position already (like winning the first 12 games of 2021 and 11 of 12 in 2022) that it had minimal effect.

Well this year I’m not so sure as our depth isn’t so hot.
