Look Scott was immense tonight but if Ennis wanted to stand up and earn his jersey he needed to have an origin moment there and halt scott. The winning set play comes of the back of that ennis 'missed' tackle.

How was it a missed takle if he tackled him. He held on slid down and eventually got him around the ankles.

If you wanted to see an origin moment you saw it in the QLD offloads. Stop the offloads on that set and NSW win. Simple. QLD would never had scored if the tackles were completed.

Ennis' blunder wasn't that tackle. It was his kick on the 4th, which could have been the right option seeing as QLD would have rushed the kicker it was just poorly executed.

One thing no ones mentioned I don't think.

A negative against Dugan is he got in the way a lot tonight. If that was Gidley this forum would be all over him.

And by him getting in the way it made Pearce look worse when the opportunity was there but he couldn't deliver the ball cause of Dugan. I noticed this a few times.

I'm sure though they will be better next game and they'll be more fluid.

All in all, promising effort to build upon.

I can't believe people are rating Soward so poorly. He was basically playing first receiver for large patches of the game while Pearce went missing.

King needs to be dropped. Merrin will probably play Origin again one day, but right now there are better options in Learoyd Lars, Galloway and Douglas. Young was out of his depth.

Dugan - 7/10 - He was in position to get to his catches, unlike Hayne would've been
Uate - 7/10 - Big future
Gasnier - 6/10 - poor game by his standards, but he was up against Tonga and Boyd
Jennings - 7.5/10 - good player, but makes too many basic mistakes
Morris - 2/10 - Anything he can do, Hayne can do better
Soward - 7/10
Pearce - 5/10 - went missing for large chunks of the game
King - 0/10 - absolutely worthless selection
Young - 4/10
Snowden - 6/10
Scott - 8/10 - looks a LOT better in the backrow than at centre
Bird - 8/10
Gallen - 7/10 - captains should not have brainsnaps like that

Ennis - 6.5/10 - Farah is better, it's so bleedingly obvious
Creagh - 5/10 - Anything Creagh can do, Lewis can do better
Merrin - 4/10
Mannah - 7/10

OUT: Morris, King, Young, Ennis, Creagh, Merrin
IN: Hayne, Galloway, Gidley, Farah, Lewis, Learoyd-Lars

yes to the changes but no to the gaz rating, how many metres did he run for?

Scramble defence was good but general D was poor especially on the fringes, Scott, Bird and Pearce missed 16 tackles between them which isn't good enough at origin level. Qld's offloads also killed us.
I thought Gallen had a poor game by his standards in D.
Ennis is good at the niggle and late shots but he deadset provides nothing else. Never challenged them out of dummy half, shit kicks and ineffective tackles. That game showed how big the gulf is between Ennis and Cam Smith

Dugan: 7 - One mistake, maybe two as he probably should have reeled in the high pearce pass but he's copping the blame for tries conceded by a dumb defensive lapse, morris's inexcusable mistake and gallen's laziness on the inside.

Uate: 8 - Looked great, our best front rower. Embarrassed his forwards.

Gasnier: 5 - Not his best game but he got some ordinary service and was given no chance. Boyd tee'd off on him all game. Strong defensively

Jennings: 9 - NSW's best. Looked really good with good early ball, had a nice combination forming with dugan

Morris: 2 - his mistake was completely inexcusable. Needs to go

Soward: 5.5 - Kicking was inconsistant and his running game was non existant but he did do some nice things. Attacking kicks need to be better. Im not dropping him though.

Pearce: 6 - Hopeless in attack and his kicking game sucked but he defended his arse off and stopped Thiaday cold a few sets in a row.

King: 2 - Worst starting front rower in SOO history. How he got in the team is completely beyond me. Aiden Tolman is 1000 times the player he is

Young: 4 - I think he was good defensively and the one two punch with ennis worked but he barely threatened and his service was average

Snowden: 6 - Looked ok at times but needed to step it up more than he did

Scott: 6 - He was ok, but made some poor reads in defense at times. I liked his agro though

Bird: 7 - He looked great when he got involved. Didnt get involved enough though

Gallen: 6 - Would be a 7 if not for his ordinary work on the try that sunk us.

Ennis: 7 - One pretty bad error and a shocking attempt at tackle on scott at the death, take those two out and he was great.

Creagh: 5 - Barely noticed he was there. Dwyer can do everything he can but better

Merrin: 5 - Didnt mind his work for a rookie but considering we had impact of TLL last year and could have had it here again, failed to do enough to retain his spot imo

Mannah: 6 - Not the impact i thought he'd have, got little help from his front row partner though which didnt help.

Dugan wasn't our equal 3rd best player Raider, Gallen was alot better then him tonight, same with Scott and you gave them a 6, Dugan was around a 6 imo, with gallen and scott higher.

Are you blind? 'missed'. ''

' missed '

as in it was as bad as a miss

Worsthalfbackbritneyspears; I honestly think that u r a sandwich short of a picnic. To wrap Pearce like that, then I think u were watching some low rate porn on SBS. Yes he backed up to score a try, wow, really hard to do, but he put us under pressure so many times. If I were u, I'd stay off the crack. Could really lead to some serious problems down the track. Oh, and I notice that all the ratings u gave the Dragons players must be coincidental to the fact that they mauled your nuffies in the Grand Final. Haha..bring back Ryles for origin. f**kin imbecile u r.

Dugan 6/10 Solid but not great. Hayne should have retained this spot.
Morris 2/10 How many chances can he get? He can add to his NSW highlight reel of dropped balls and short hitups with the try he gifted Yow Yeh with bows.
Gasnier 2/10 Meant to be experienced. F off we don't need you.
Jennings 9/10 Looked dangerous with every touch and justified his selection.
Uate 8/10 Took everything QLD threw at him and ran it back solidly.
Soward 4/10 Had all his Dragons buddies with him and still did SFA  keep him so we can see how worse he'll be without them.
Pearce 8/10 Had to do all the halves work and defence. Scored the try that brought NSW back into the game. Looked dangerous on his side all night.
King 1/10 Obvious.
Ennis 6/10 Farah should be here but at least Ennis is better than the imposter who played hooker in the first 20.
Snowden 5/10 Not great but should get another shot.
Scott 3/10 What does he offer? No defence, no attack. Just a babysitter for Sowie.
Bird 8/10 Played with passion and set up the try for Pearce. Troubling the defence all night.
Gallen 8/10 Led by example. Cut the penalties out of his game and did the work of 3 players (too bad we were alright minus 7)

Mannah 5/10 Still young and deserves to have another shot.
Young, Creagh, Merrin 1/10 - the invisibles.

your such a dopey spastic that it's hillarious

I wasnt as impressed with scott, he was ok but i stand by my ranking on him, as for JD, he saved a try and he took some magnificant takes, set up a try for jennings... the fact QLD stopped bombing said it all about his work, bad mistake but in the end it didnt cost us

Gallen would have been an 8, but his miss on the inside on slater that won it for them was really bad, i heard him interviewed on the radio and i think he knows he blew it big time

Cry moar loser how about you get your players to lose us another series.

Yeah Qld have the better 1,6,7,9 not to mention the better 8,10 (these are the ones that can not be argued with in the important positions)

but you blame the dragons players for the loss idiot

and for the record ill say that pearce and soward both did ok especially in defence and given they never really got any go forward from a monstered pack not much more could be expected

Yes dickhead I do blame Dragons for the loss specificially Morris but don't forget Gasnier, Creagh, Scott, Young and Merrin who contributed SFA

King and Ennis were poor too

Dugan - 5/10 didn't communicate well enough. ok first game not good enough to take spot from hayne train plane.

Uate - 8/10 solid game apart from one error, ran hard with heart. Needs space. Future of NSW.

Gasnier - 4/10 was dominated by boyd and tonga and didn't make adjustments and step up as a leader. Solid defence.

Jennings - 8.5/10 very good game one of the better players on the night looked the most dangerous with the ball in his hands.

Morris - 3/10 poor communication and decisions, didn't come looking for the ball enough

Soward - 6/10 - excellent in defence. below average kicking game. didn't get any opportunities to create any plays.

Pearce - 5.5/10 - solid in defence. poor kicking game. as with soward didn't have many opportunities in attack.

King - 1/10 - out of his depth. was dominated with the ball in his hands. lazy in defence cost us the first try. gets 1 point for showing up.

Young - 5/10 - ruck was slowed down to a walk which negated him making any quick dummy half runs

Snowden - 7/10 made an effort. didn't really do much wrong.

Scott - 9/10 dominant in defence. best player for NSW.

Bird - 7.5/10 played hard. was one of the better forwards

Gallen - 7/10 worked hard. was talking alot on the field. didn't really make an impact with the ball.

Ennis - 5.5/10 same as dean young but made a crucial mistake but also was involved alot more.

Creagh - 4.5/10 didn't get anywhere with the ball in the time he had.

Merrin - 4.5/10 same as creagh

Mannah - 4.5/10 same as merrin and creagh

You really are pathetic maybe we could pick seven of your players because they have been going so well and stood up so well in the big match atmosphere.
